In case no one has experienced it....here it is.

Here are a couple of videos of from the Aggie War Hymn.

This is the part of "Saw Varsity's Horns Off"

I think you know who it's referring to.......

Everyone in the stadium sways side to side....it actually moves the stadium.......and if you look up and over to the other side you sometimes get dizzy from looking.

It's an awesome experience, and I think it does have a pretty big effect on the games.

Communist *******...
Try to cut Bevo's...now that would create some atmosphere.

Didn't they tattoo the Longhorn and then they made it Bevo? i think it was 13-0 ?

Herbstreit is one of the best in the business, but he's wrong...it's ok, we all are from time to time. :D

I know the Aggies are getting better, but they didn't have anywhere else to go.

IF Texas does beat OU (a huge if) and loses at Kyle to miss out on the Big XII Championship, Longhorn fans everywhere will quickly, disgustedly remember who their biggest, most hated rivals are. I would be instantaneously physically ill if that were to happen.

I've been to an Aggie game at Kyle...it's...umm...different. I guess you just have to grow up around Aggies to understand it. Intimidating...not really. Loud...at times. Full...not lately.

no way does A&M win in Lubbock or Norman. If any darkhorse is to win the Big 12 this year it is Tech. I think Tech goes into Austin undefeated and has a better chance of beating texas than anyone else does. If they were to win the Big 12 title I would not be shocked one bit, if A&M wins the Big 12 title, then it would be a miracle.

Then how come aggy cant get more people to actualy show up at Pyle? DKR is packed to the top, but there is plenty of room to stretch out at Pyle.

DKR has its moments, but as far as consistency, you are correct. That place can be absolutely electric when it wants to be. At least it's not rehearsed. ;)

I can remember not too long ago Texas had trouble getting 50,000 in the stadium.

At least A&M (with it's worst season in years) still broke 60,000 +

also, when you think about it, as far as former students go, A&M was coming off of a 4-8 season, so the motivation to buy season tickets was down, for sure. This year, after a vastly improved season, A&M will bring their numbers up drastically and we can finally silence all these hater/doubters

I personally don't really care that much how many damned people attend a football game, but that's just me.

Actually, aggy hasnt operated at full capacity for a while now, but good luck in improving.

Some people are taking these rivalries too seriously. They need to open their mind a bit and realise that in the end we're all on the same side.

And what side would that be?
Last time I checked when the Longhorns win...I'm on that side..and it they lose I'm still on that side...so how am I ever on the same side as aggy?
Because they are Texans? Charles Whitman was a Texan too....should I be on his side?

I think aggy was distracted by the "meat" judging contest and
didn't see the dancing sheep.

Well, Wide, if we're fighting a war we can't let petty differences like what college we attended stand in the way of ourselves. That's what I meant by we are all on the same side. We're all Texans and most importantly, Americans.

I bleed burnt orange and have been to a few of TAMU games myself. I really like the atmosphere at both stadiums (Kyle and DKR). I've been to some midnight yell practices in my day with friends and liked that atmosphere.
On a different note, I've been to a couple of World Cups and those people are just like the Aggie faithful AND MORE. I remember in Dallas back in 1994 right outside the Cotton Bowl, me and a couple of buddies got there a couple of hours early. The area outside was packed with singing fans, dressed in their teams colors, and having a blast. Same thing happend inside the Cotton Bowl. While it was happening, I wished Americans would do stuff like more at professional/college games. I mean, you do get the cheering and fanaticism to a point, but it seems half-assed at times, you know?!?
Another situation not too long ago, wife and I went to see the USA women's volleyball team play Brazil's national team in Cleburne (which is where Stacy Sykora, US player and former Aggie player is from). There were some folks (about 20-25) there from Brazil and whom I guessed live in the DFW area. They brought out their samba drums, cymbals, and played those instruments the whole match which lasted about 2 hours. It got to a point where half of the "U.S." crowd was joining in since their beats and enthusiasm were so contagious. Needless to say, it was pretty cool.
I guess I am a big fan of those who back, sing, cheer, root, and just all out love "their" team no matter what.

I didnt think their was any argument that aggy would finish 4th in conference. I would give them the edge over Tech, since they have more talent, but with their recent history in Lubbuck and their young secondary (i personally think this is the worst unit on aTm) i dont see any way aggy wins this game. And they won't beat OU in Norman. However this is Reggies final year, and hes never beaten UT, and it is at Kyle Field. But i would be more than suprised if Aggy found a way to pull this one out, considering UT is fielding their best team on paper in the Mack Brown Era. The games are won in the trenches and the horns return all but 1 starting lineman from the offensive and defensive line. Only new face is at center.

If I were in combat or back on the ship...I would agree with you...We shouldn't let stuff like that matter. But I'm not. I am an American and it is almost football season...I can hate aggy if I want. By saying we are all Americans, you just made my point. We are free to like or dislike whatever school we want.

This came up on hornfans.com. You can't discount the fact that Reggies passing numbers are better than Vinces. If you wanna talk about "complete qb", i'd say reggies more complete. But the way Vince can take over a game by himself, give me vince any day. Our offense isnt designed to throw the ball up every other play. I know many may say its like that because vince can't throw, but why throw when you dont need to. The only game there was really a need for the horns to throw, to come back in was against Okie Lite. And going 18-21 isnt to bad at all. And vince is something like 17-2 as a starter, and Reggie is something like 11-13. I know Vince obviously plays on the better team, but you have to put a big responsibility on the qb to win you football games. Vince could have gone out there with New Mexico State, and beaten Baylor almost single handedly because he finds ways to win. Reggie couldnt even do it with his own team.
