He's done his talking on the field just fine. I remember Reggie not speaking very well in his interviews early on, and hes fine now. Trust me, the more chances he gets to speak to the media, the better he will be.

May I suggest a few practice...make-belief interviews....before he ever gets in front of a camera again.

It doesnt bother me. These little moral victories are all aggy has left. This is a team that in a two year span managed to get slaughtered by the land thieves, beat by BAYLOR and they were absolutely embarrassed by freakin' Tennessee in the Cotton Bowl.

These little videos, the "rapping ags" and their racist name for Vince are all they have left. Frankly, I think it's pretty damn funny. aggy has reduced themselves to nothing more than the butt of a joke and a blemish on the great state of Texas.

*note* What I said is directed to the vocal and seemingly large number of aggsy who unleash their racist and hateful rhetoric on a constant basis (not on this board of course). It is not directed to the school, but to the football program and it's fans. I have read some very stupid thing by fans of every school in the country, but the horrid stuff I have read on Texags the past few days has caused me to lose any respect I may have still had for that program. While I contend that these good aggy are still the majority, one is left to believe that their numbers are quickly shrinking and taking their place are the mental midgits who, for some reason, get a kick out of mocking a nervous young man who possesses more skill in his left hand than half of the dog chasers that now make up aggyland.

Cedric Benson opened himself up to some mockery... as did Ricky Williams and a few others, but what has Jamaal Charles done to anybody? He hasnt beat aggy... yet. Lets see OU 6-3-1 in last 10 years against Texas, 1 National Champioship,3 conference titles in that period, and over 60 points put up on Texas twice in the last five years. Lets see the great Mack Brown who deserted North Carolina thanks to back door dealing has managed only 1 conference Championship in the Big XXII and Texas only has one other championship in the last 20 years and that last National championship was back when???? Too long to think about. So side by side the "Land Thieves" don't look that bad :)

Perhaps you should look up the definition of the word hypocrisy. There is a difference between poking fun at those stupid enough to receive free rides to school and then screw it up by getting arrested, and those kids that simply talked funny during an interview. If you cant see that difference, then you have my pity.

BTW, you wont see that racism for long on Texags because the mods are smart enough to shut them down and delete them. The night of Mr. Charles' now infamous interview, the Texags mods deleted 5 threads and banned several users for posting some of inappropriate and racist material I have seen. Sadly, not all the responses to those threads were condemning the disgusting nature of the posts. I dont want to lump everybody under the same umbrella and say that just because your an aggy, that means you are racist, but it is getting harder and harder.

I'm not gonna get into the flamng wars with anyone, but I am a true Aggie. I love all things Aggie and sometimes I won't respond, but I usually take offense to remarks people make about A&M. Calling Aggies racists (which you did not do, but you appear to be getting closer to it) is offensive to me, because I don't consider myself a racist or any Aggie I know to be a racist. I am sure there are some at A&M, but you can be certain that the majority are not. Thats like saying all fans of Texas are buttheads when you see only a few of them do something stupid or say something stupid. What I'm getting at is that you may notice the racists because they stand out and they were posting on high traffic threads. But I would bet any sum of money that if you analized the posts on the rest of the threads, you would find that well above 90% of the posters are passionate, but not racist or harshly biased in any other way (except against t.u. of course)

Exactly. I have friends who love football (NFL) but dont care for college football because someone votes on the champ. An 8 team or 16 team playoff would take college football to the next level. A true NCAA Championship game on the week between the NFL Conference championships and the Super Bowl would be almost as big as the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is an unofficial national holiday. I dont know about you but my family has never gathered around to watch the freakin Fiesta Bowl on a Tuesday night. Not really what this thread is about but its late ya know.

I had to listen to it TWICE to see what the fuss was about...I understood him....then again..I grew up in one of the worst areas in Houston. Don't judge a book by it's cover. I'm living proof of that. I've heard PROFESIONALS give worse interviews..Charles hasnt had that many so he has an excuse...as a matter of fact, how many high school games have you been to where the media was on the sideline and stuck mikes in kids faces after every big play? Like I said...I've heard worse from grown men.

i agree on giving the kid a break but you named two athletes especially mike tyson that were constanly teased and mimicked about the way they talked. it is not right but people judge you on how you speak and look. this should not have been a surprise and everybody should have seen it coming. do not tell me if this was an aggy recruit that had trouble speaking in an interview in this all star game, that many texas fans would not be all over it!! they would have been just as ruthless without a doubt.
