There will be a press conference held at 6pm tonight to announce the
newest members. Jerry Jones is going to put Troy Aikman,Emmitt Smith and
"The Playmaker" Michael Irvin in all at the same time.
This is awesome.

What a fitting end to these guys I grew up watching, these guys inspired so meny people (like my-self) to play football...I remember when it was my first day of football practice ever in 7th grade (i played basketball b4 then), and my coachs were trying to describe the postions to each of us...He said if you want to be a qb like Troy, head over that way...about 25% of the kids went that way, if you want to be a running back like Emmitt Smith, head over there another 50% of the kids went that way, and if you want you want to be a wide reciver like Micheal Irvin head that way...the rest of them went...

Mind you we were all in 7th grade and all wanted to be stars haha...

But the point is I think these three players define there postion as good or even better then anybuddy else that has ever played there postion...

Congrats Troy, Emmitt, and Micheal :)

Cant wait to see um all togeither :)

I guess it's fitting the triplets go in together, but I think Drew Pearson is getting the shaft - here's a good link on the current Ring members

While I haven't done a comparison, I can't imagine Michael Irvin's career numbers are better than Drews, but maybe they are. But, who can forget Drew? The first "Hail Mary" - the Turkey day catch from Clint Longley - great Super Bowl games.

Plus -you've obviously got to put Darren Woodsen in from the current group also.

Here's a list of Cowboy records

I'll say Michael's numbers are better than Drew's -- I thought Drew had more catches - but that was back in the day when Staubach only threw 25 or so times a game.

You got to remember that the Triplets are Jerry's boys. Anything to make Jerry look good and put him in the spotlight, is all good for his Cowboys.

Drew was a Landry era product and should have been put in the ring of honor at the same time with Staubach. Irvin did not have a credible personal life off the field, how many times did the Dallas police arrest him for drug possesion during his playing days in Dallas. Irvin was the Hollywood Henderson of the 90's for the Cowboys.

I agree PA05 - Drew needs to be in - but won't be - Michael - what can you say - the Police knew him on a first name basis for awhile there.
