View Full Version : Watching TV, drinking Dr Pepper, and firing people

Contrary to the thread title, I have to work a little. OK a LOT, but I still take time for leisure! :D

The Cowboys win every game I watch and I'll stay here until the Super Bowl if I have to! ;)

When I fire you, you're done and I'll keep doing that.

I was drinking Dr Pepper when I was watching the marathon Braves-Astros game and had one in my hand when they won. I kept the can as a memory and couldn't think of anything more Texan to do at the time during the game than to drink Dr Pepper! :D I was in the chow hall this morning during the baseball game and drank a tea and had another one with me. I also took a Dr Pepper when I left and said I'm going to be drinking this when they win. I drank the 2nd tea during the top of the 9th and drank the Dr Pepper during the bottom of the 9th and wasn't quite done when they got the last out. I'm keeping that can, too.

The good news is the Cowboys game is live on TV this week. The bad news for some of you is that Texas-Texas Tech is also live! :p

Yeah, they didn't have it for a long time in Afghanistan, but they got it on most days before the end. They pretty much always had it in Kuwait. They have it everyday here and I started ignoring how dirty the cans look and just wipe them off.

I meant relative to the Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C and..., therefore Team Z is better than Team A...discussions going on elsewhere... :)

I put some faith in that, but not undying faith. You have to be aware of a team's bad performance and their normal performance to judge stuff like that.

they are both undefeated...so it must work...woo-hoo! more beer...

A little late to be drinkin' heavy, isn't it? Or are you the Riggins type that drinks early in the morning, too?

Wasn't it JamesHetfield (Metallica) that used to have the home made sign taped on his guitar that clearly stated "More Beer"? I think so.
My moms used to detest that poster... She'd ask "do you drink beer?" I was like 15 or so..I'd say "no". That was true too.. I was well behaved as a young man.

I went thru a beer phase after the divorce.. Lasted about 8-10 months. Amber Boch was the beer. I still get some now and then.. Just to remind me about why I don't drink beer when I'm thinking right.. I think they must have a lot of fiber in Amber Boch.. :D

Dr.Pepper is my thing.. 90% of my liquid intake is in the form of Dr.Pepper. I usually put away 2 cases aweek. And like you, Wide, the 'Horns and the 'Pack keep winning.

I didn't know we had this many Dr Pepper fiends on the board. I drink about 4-5 from the chow hall every day. It's hard to turn down free Dr Pepper even if it doesn't taste as good over here. I'm drinking one now.

They always tell us to hydrate and drink plenty of water. Well, I do good getting carbonated water! :)

If Judson plays Plano for state, I might boycott Dr Pepper that day! :p

LOL...yeah that was my son. We were sitting in the Dome...and at the time Westfield was making it look easy. I said "what the hell was Lonny talking about" He looked at me and said "Who's Lonny?" :)
