View Full Version : Madison (SA) fans dropping like flies...

and I fully support it.

Recently in the HS football area, a Judson guy posted something about hoping the teams' players don't lose their values. Also implied in the statement was that other schools' players didn't have those values. That pi$$ed me off to no end. In a later post I realized that he and I were talking about two different things. He was talking values and I was talking VALUES. The values he was talking about were spirit, team unity, school pride. The VALUES I thought he meant were God and country (and all those GW things).

Regardless of how you feel about the man or the war, not since the 1980's has this country been as feared (by some) and respected (by some) and looked up to (by many). Those who fear us know why they should.

I am embarrassed by some of the things posted here by SA Madison students/graduates. Though I will not paint Madison with too broad a brush, the Judson players may be going through a period that affects their values, but let us hope that their VALUES are still in place.

Ah, I know a former Maverick...now a Canyon Cougar....nice girl....but as arrogant with the Mavs as mad fan :p ....but she loses all her smack ammunition as soon as football ends :D

why do you say I am arrogant with Mavs? The same Mavs I have no use for, the KTs have no use for. If you think they (you know who) need defending, speak up and defend them.

Congrats on the win. I'm Judson first, but I'm 26-5A 2nd and SA 3rd. We have to beat these guys in other parts of the state.

Besides if Judson can't beat Madison, I sure don't want the other guys to beat you! :D

Some of the 25 fans are getting down right nasty; not that it bothers me being ganged up on...but it gets old...I hope the 26 beats the crap out of them :D

two good friends of mine are former MAVS, one is an Army Capt. I hope he is safe.

I don't know what they're so cocky about. Seguin hasn't won a playoff game in like forever. San Marcos has choked the last few years in the playoffs. Clemens is the Cowboys of old--"Next Year's Champions". It's almost like the boy that cried wolf. They say so much how good they are and then get beat. It might be true this year, but it's like, "We're from Missouri so show us."

I will say this - when Judson was dominant, they weren't cocky and arrogant like the ones that may assume that role....and that team doesn't wear burnt orange.

That's one of the only things I'll miss about Judson - they were actually classier than the new 'leader'. I just hope Madison assumes that role and not the other team.

It's not the other team in 26-5A, it's their fans. Our 4A friends in 25-5A have a problem with players and fans.

It's the whole school....I have friends tell me all sorts of things from the fans, students, players and even the band kids

Halftime is good for a few things:

Getting food
Using the bathroom
Stretching your feet because you have more room
Looking at girls on and off the field

Listening to the band is not one of them. I don't look for cool kids, I look for people who get out of step, fall down, drop flags and instruments and stuff like that.

i never get food at halftime, at any kind of game, always go early 2nd half, late 1st half, hate those halftime crowds

people get out of step ALL THE TIME, no offense to our color guard, but they drop flags like crazy, some kid dropped his cymbal on friday

Ah, I look at the cheerleaders cheering (ours are actually pretty good lookin' ;) ) But I normally get food at the end of a drive or something.

I ALWAYS look for mess ups in the band :D I don't like band halftime music unless it's upbeat and peppy.

we got a latin theme this year, so thats pretty "upbeat", its to long for my taste though
