Ok, the I was thinking about the position UNT will be in next year when Riley shows up and Vizza is also a strong college QB. Thinking about the possibilities, I got a crazy idea. What is UNT were to run a formation similar in a sense to Arkansas' wildcat formation. only instead of having RB in the backfield, two QB (dodge and vizza). They'd keep the standard dodgeball 4 WR set, so the center could snap to either of the quarterback who could then roll out, pass, run, w/e. then, they could also run a pass option. That could be tricky and tough to defend, at least in my head. Any thoughts on this idea?

that would be tight... only thing is he might get redshirted

doubt it though considering they aren't to deep at the QB position and he could be a legit starter as a true freshman

It is usually better to redshirt the freshman year. That way the player has an offseason to adjust to the speed of college play. Many people don't realize that from high school to D1 is a big leap.

great way to lose two QBs on one play. Not worth the risk....although, the possibilities are endless.

as important as the rb has been as a blocker in dodgeball(luna always sat with the ol between series) i don't see that as an alternative.

It'd be tricky, but not necessarily tough to defend because of the lack of a true running threat. Dodge is mobile, but by college standards his speed is middle of the pack. Defensive lines could basically sell out on the backfield without real fear of having their gap exploited by a run. I'd bring some type of blitz on every down against a set like that.

Yeah, this seems like a scheme that is almost crazy enough to work (emphasis on the word almost). I don't see any reason why UNT couldn't mix it up and have both of them in the backfield on certain plays, but running the offense with two QBs would probably, like someone said, be a great way to get your quaterback(s) hurt. We need something though; the Mean Green are looking worse each week.
