Something kinda odd I noticed. In the starting line up, each team has 1 player on O and D that went to college in Texas.
I think there was 2 from LSU.
and 1 from Western Carolina. I didnt think they got any attention over there. The only reason I know it exists is because my little sis got her masters from there.

Just figured there would be more Texas players in the game.

That's pathetic....totally pathetic! You win the entire game then lose the last 5 minutes. That's alot of wasted energy!

Just think Dallas had a missed field goal and two good field goals. All those field goals should of been td's. The score would've been 28-14.

Anyhow...

The Redskins will finish 8-8.

Dallas will finish 10-6....maybe even 11-5.

(Pretty solid defense. Plus the NFC is very shaky these days. All in all I still like what I saw....we just have to put opponents away once we've beaten them.)

Ah, typical...never the less, we would have scored first with Santanna Moss but Brunell threw it just a tad short. And then when Brunell got sacked it put us out of field goal range. But I suppose that'd be 28-24...but this isn't "fantasy" football....

I will be willing to bet if the game stayed at 13-0...he would have remained silent. You're a good fan 88...With 'em if they win..but screw 'em if they lose.

This game was horrible on both sides of the ball. The only bright spot for Dallas was the defense. But they immediately erased all of the good...with 3-4 bonehead plays late in the game. Other than that...it was ugly for both teams all night. And on several occasions...SEVERAL 3rd and 4th down plays...the Cowboys ran 5 yard routes when they need 6....or 9 yards when they needed 10...I will never understand that. This will go down as one of the biggest defensive collapses of the year. I won't give either team congratulations...it was a horrible game. However, I did get a good laugh when they dumped Gatorade on Gibbs. I guess Theismann was right...apparently they did win the Super Bowl....(in September)...?

I thought it was very safe to go to bed because the Redskins offense looked god awful and look what yall did. I'm glad I slept through the game. I was at work late and got up early this morning and went back to bed and didn't get back up until after it was over. That's not a good way to lose. It's not the end of the world, but they might really need this win at the end of the year.

Yeah - wish I hadn't got sucked into this loser of a game. But, a big Congrats to Redskin here on the forum who, for some bizarre reason, lives and dies with the lowly 'Skins.

Here's a shocking stat -going into this game Parcells was 77-0 when leading by 13 or more going into the 4th qtr.!! Now he's 77-1.

Here's another - The Skins were 0-25 when trailing going into the fourth quarter over the past few years.

Glenn and Roy Williams got burned badly both times - terrible technique.

Let me sound like a true Cowboy fan, though, and say the Boys got reffed bad on this one. On the first td strike a Cowboy d-lineman got tackled from behind as he was about to waylay Brunell - no call. Then the Boys have a 3rd and 11 completion for a first called back with 3 minutes left on a "no-hold" called on Adams -ticky tack at best. Would have been first down on the Skins 30 with the Boys up 13-7.

But, that's football - neither team is any good really - the Eagles would have beat both by 30 last night. Theisman remains a complete moron by saying the Skins would go to the Super Bowl. Their first TD of the night came just as the 4th qtr. started - that was also their first TD of the year! Hard to believe they are 2-0 - which means they'll end up about 7-9 this year -- tops.

I agree with the statement and congrats again Redskins88. I think we'll all admit that 4th quarter was just plain bizarre. I will say I was very impressed with S. Moss - that boy can fly - and Brunell looks a little better than Testaverde at qb - which unfortunately is still better than P. Ramsey.

I do like Gibbs - but, of course, I could never openly root for Washington - only when they play Philly ;)

Yeah, poor'ol Ramsey probably just saw his quarterback position go away for a long time. He may even be #3 in a while...replaced by rising star Jason Campbell. The thing I like about Brunell is he isn't stupid....yes, he got sacked 4-5 times? Ramsey would've blindly thrown that ball away. And Brunell gave a good effort running like 20 some yards.

Gibbs made a good choice with getting Moss. And Coles is happy in New York and it was good to see he put up some good numbers this week.

Well, I don't think might've told you all this but '99 to 03 I lived in China and Thailand...no NFL there whatsoever. And before I left I wasn't into NFL or anything just High School cause my sis was in high school and her team (SA Mac) at the time was really good. So when I moved back here, I slowly, but surely got into NFL, College, and once again into HS ball. So really...I could care less against history...If you all wanted to go by "history" the first time the Skins and boys played in...1960? Wshington won 24-10.....basically, we have no idea of whats gonna happen next. For all we know, a giant anvil can come out of nowhere and fall on Parcells, Gibbs, Brunell, Bledsoe, Brady, Roethlisberger...anyone. I say we concentrate on the now and worry about the future. Past is nice but it doesn't matter.

Their first TD was with about 3:50 left in the game, not as the 4th quarter started. Dallas should have won this one, and I am still wondering where Terrence Newman was on these 2 touchdown passes. I would think the fastest guy on the defense would cover the fastest reciever. Thats what I do on Madden, but whatever.

Free Safety should cover deep....but my boy Roy wasn't showboating anymore after he let Santana go for two straight TDs....

I also noticed that Crayton was the one that Taylor hit on that third down attempt....revenge from last year.

I've raised 6 kids just like you that had no respect for history. I told them......I warned them that history repeats itself and history is the barometer by which wise men make decisions. I've been watching the NFL since the early 60's and believe me, more games were won on history and reputation and intimidation from past events than you will ever know. Only a foolish man believes that all that counts is the present.

If you think history means nothing, just watch Wall Street and the global economy......they don't make a move until the history of the subject is completely reviewed.

I didn't say I had no respect for history...maybe you didn't see my posts from wayyy back when we were having disagreements with Ranger fans...but i'm a major history buff....it's just in sports i don't really like history. Because they're practically new teams every year. And history isn't written in stone. Like I said, Washington won the first meeting. The Red Sox came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Yankees and go onto the World Series. Parcells was 77-0 when leading 13-0 in the 4th. And Gibbs was 0-26(?) when down 13+ in the 4th....see where I'm going with this? I have a lot of respect for history...just not in sports.

Wide, had you all won this, the position would be vice-versa.

I'm surprised Brunnell didn't do the "I'm going to Disney World" thing after the game.
