Im almost positive the game is at 8 pm Central. But yah if the Stars keep it up they will dominate the Canucks again. If the Stars can score the first goal its over.

I'm doing fine. I haven't been able to see any of the Stars games because my cable is messed up from getting the channel they play on and they're still playing by time I get to work in the morning. I missed the Mavs game because I had to work at night and I'll miss Game 7 for the same reason.
Congrats on your Yankee sweep.

My bad.. you're probably right.. maybe the stars will get another early 5 on 3:D
With a scorer like Modano in those situations it's nearly impossible to not get a goal in..

I'm listening to the WBAP radio feed, but what stinks is I have to leave around the time that the 2nd Period will end and will miss the 3rd Period on my way home. Maybe it goes to OT and I'll get to see some of it. I'd rather just win in regulation. I still remember Bryan Marchment of Edmonton in 1997. I went to a concert that night and just missed getting home in time to see the 2OT Game 7 winner for the Oilers!

Right after saying the only way the Canucks would score would be an accident...
an accident happened.

Congrats on the playoff shutout streak Marty. The longest in franchise history breaking Belfour's 2000 streak. They haven't said, but it must've been a little over 160 minutes.

the refs ruined this game for me by calling all those bogus penalties on both teams in the 3rd period. just let them go at it 5 on 5 to see who really wants it the most, stop thinking your the boss and the game revolves around you. (Joey Crawford)

Boy, those refs sure were confused about what game this is.
They must have gotten lessons about reffing from the University of David Stern.
This is game 7 of a HOCKEY game, it is a contact sport, unlike what they thought. Let em play it 5v5!
Final score says 4-1, but everyone knows it was a 2-1 game.
Great season for the Stars, they showed me a lot of heart coming back from a 3-1 deficit.
BTW: Marty for MVP :)

I'm not going to gripe about Marty losing in the First Round this year.
I do wish the NHL would adopt NBA rules and let the better team have home ice regardless of the seeds:
3 Vancouver, Northwest Divisions champs, 105 points
6 Dallas, 107 points
Game 7 was in Vancouver.

He gave them a chance to win every game. If they could get a few more pucks past Luongo, Dallas wins this series going away.
3 shutouts in 7 games. Not too bad for a goalie.

Luongo had the better series between the goalies.

Theres no way the Stars fire Tippett after what he did they year. The Stars had probably the worst injury problems all year and Tippett kept them playing. Tippett will probably will coach of they year from what i've heard so plan on seeing him as the coach next year.

The Dallas stars could have probably changed their name to the Iowa Stars midway through the season. Tippett did a great job with what he had to work with. I dont think he will get the axe just yet.

I've got a shoulda, coulda, woulda for you. I got to see the game later on.
The refs shoulda called a lot better game. Vancouver's first goal came on the power play. That power play was created by the Canucks keeping the puck in the zone and the Stars finally taking a penalty. The only problem is they were offsides when they carried the puck in. The refs also shoulda swallowed their whistle on that bogus penalty that led to the 2nd power play goal. The Stars didn't really have much left in the tank after taking so many penalties. I also saw the Canucks get some bogus penalties and one of those times the Vancouver net came off, it was obiviously on purpose.
The Stars coulda won Games 1 and 7 if Stu Barnes and Mike Modano didn't hit the crossbar. It's a game of inches and Trevor Linden also missed the net wide by a few inches.
The Stars probably woulda won Game 7 if it had been played in Dallas like it should've been. It's a shame that you punish the Stars with a 6 seed when they play in the best division in hockey at the top. The #6 record in hockey didn't even have home ice in the first round. Neither did #5 (San Jose). Hockey also makes you play your division more times than the other divisions.

3 years and yes he should be gone. So should Turco. Dallas played completely different starting the second period. In the 1st period they pressed the canucks. Vancouver hardly ever got the puck past the neutral zone and the Stars had them skating backwards. Dallas out shot them in the 1st and then everything changed after intermission.

Why exactly?
1.30 G.A.A, something like a .950 save percentage, and 3 shutouts in 7 games. What does a goalie have to do to keep people off his back in this town?
16 straight shutouts to win a Stanley Cup?

im sorry, but no blame should be on Turco for this series. He did everything he could to keep the Stars in it. To win hockey games you have to score goals and Turco cant do that.
Even though Lunago (however you spell it) is fantastic, the Stars blew it on some great scoring chances and that is the reason they lost the series.
