Does anyone have a read on Texas' two deep for 07? I didn't follow spring as closely this year.

This is how I project things to look for the first game, but I expect a lot of changes throughout the season, especially with the defensive secondary. This also doesn't include true freshmen who are not on campus yet.

I think the Secondary will come along Nicely..Especially with Kelson moving to Safety. The Linebackers will do what Linebackers to and the Secondary will do what it does. Unlike Last year.

With Duff added to the coaching staff i anticipate greater production from the LB's.

The only knock on the secondary is the lack of experience. coaches are saying they could end up being one of the most talent group to come through Texas. Cy. Brown has to play a role this year... You need a guy like that to be on the field.

Not initially, but the RB depth chart the past few years has been very fluid and I expect Vondrell to be the second or third leading rusher on the team. Remember, this is what I see the two deep as right now. There are a couple of true freshmen who aren't on the roster yet like Blaine Irby, Cody Johnson and Christian Scott. I expect those guys to contribute this fall.

As for the secondary, the above is how I expect things to look starting the fall, but by the end of the season, I really expect it to look more like this...

SS - Drew Kelson l Ishie Oduegwu

By the end of the season, I expect Palmer and Foster to be relegated to nickel and dime packages.

Furthermore, I expect Kill, Bobino and Derry to start the season and play most of the minutes, but as the season progresses, I really expect to see that first unit and the second unit with Kindle, Norton and Muck to be splitting time almost evenly. In fact, you may see Muck officially move ahead of Derry on the depth chart.

I think Deon Beasly is gonna be a hoss for ya'll. I wouldn't be surprised to see him work into the 1st team slot. Great athlete from a school that's put out a lot of 'em.

Kindle is one that is going to benefit tremendously from having an actual LB coach on the payroll. You could tell watching him last year that he was playing recklessly and was out of place a lot. It was obvious that he wasn't really being coached up and that probably because Akina and Chizik are both DB coaches and there was no LB coach. Mac Duff brings NFL experience and many years of coaching LBs so I look for him to make a huge impact on both Kindle and Kill.

I remember the first time I saw Kindle in person, was when he tore the Hebron Hawks a new a**hole during his junior year at Woodrow Wilson. I'd read alot about him since he was a freshman, but I had to see for myself. Once he matures, it could very well get ugly for opposing teams. His ability to fight off of blocks, his instincts, and his speed are top notch. Sergio will be playing on Sundays in the future.

Watch out for sophmore DE Brian Ellis. He is 6'5" 287lbs and is in the running for the starting position at WDE. He is extremely fast around the offensive tackle and is very strong. Some might remember him from SGP on the outstanding defense of the '05-06 Warriors. I have heard from him personally that he has been told from the coaches he is in the running for the starting position. He has the size and speed, and I really hope he gets it. I loved watching him play my senior year at SGP. Just ask ET how much of a headache he was to their starting QB at the time:D

Guys, I said I was done asking questions on all of this.

HUM and Wide, the fact that LGV came in the thread in response to Prez's post doesn't no give you the excuse to go off like both of you did. We can't allow that kind of language to be used in posts. If you are that easily provoked into combative responses, then you shouldn't be posting. I've issued permanent bans to you both.

For example, HUM, you called what LGV did as a "flick in the ear". That doesn't give you the excuse to turn around and throw a haymaker.

ElPrezidente and LGVAg have one month bans because their posts were not overboard language wise. They did not resort to bad language or overboard combative responses, but regardless, they were the first two to ignite this particular argument and so are out for a month.

We can't keep having this type of thing on the board without consequence for those involved. All it does is bring everything down, and prevent any discussion from happening.
