Many are picking this series to go 6 games. I think that depends on how well the Spurs can contain Iverson and Anthony and how well Tony Parker plays.

I throw out the Jan 10, 2007 SA 92, @DEN 83 game because Anthony did not play. I also throw out the Apr 18, 2007 DEN 100, @SA 77 game.

The Feb 20, 2007 @SA 95, DEN 80 game, San Antonio contained Iverson very well though I don't remember if he had just come back from an injury or something. They also held Anthony to about half his season average.

I think many are underestimating the SA defense.

San Antonio in 5!

I think Duncan will be fired up for this series after the crap last week. SA will also turn it up for the playoffs and they understand what it takes to win.

SA in 5.

Do you go to Wagner or are you just someone who likes Wagner because your kid goes there. I always look on the bright side and never paty attention to scoers when I'm playing because anything can happen. I'm a Judson fan and proud.

Again, I say that is great. I say them play all 10 games last year, what a total let down. I feel good knowing that as long a the Rack is their then things like last year will always happen. Good luck with the Rockets this year.

I was at this Fiesta thing on Ft Sam last night because my Dad was shooting the cannons off and they had a huge jumbotron snd they had a band next to it. They were showing the Spurs game and dudring commercials they would switch back to the band ad everything. People were paying more attention to the game then to the band and whenever the General wanted to sing Elvis music the Spurs were down by 2 with 15 seconds to go they cut the game off becausde he says so. I hated them so much.

The ironic part of the game one loss is in 2005 the Nuggets took game 1 in SA and Andre Miller scored 31 points. The Nuggets ended up losing the series in 5. Last night, the Nuggets took game 1 in SA and Iverson scored 31 points. I smell a trend here.

The Spurs losing Game 1 may not be such a bad thing. Look:

In 2003, the Spurs lost Game 1 of their first round series with Phoenix 98-96 when Stephon Marbury hit a running 3-pointer at the buzzer. The Spurs went on to win the series in 6 and eventually take the NBA title.

In 2004, the Spurs swept Memphis 4-0 in the first round of the playoffs and then lost to LA 4-2 in the second round.

In 2005, SA lost Game 1 of their first round matchup with Denver as Andre Miller scored 31. The Spurs went on the win the series 4-1 and ultimately won their third NBA title.

In 2006, the Spurs won Game 1 of their first round series with Sacramento 122-88 and won the series 4-2. They then lost to Dallas (still the greatest playoff series of all time) 4-3 in the the second round.

In 2007, the Spurs lost Game 1 of their first round matchup with Denver. Hmmmm....

Game 2 is Wednesday, at 6 pm.

Spurs won by 9 but it was closer at the end there for a bit. Spurs had a large lead and let Denver back in it. They looked a little sluggish in the 4th. A win for the Spurs but they did not look great. Iverson and Anthony's production was down 15 points from the first game which is good. Duncan and Ginobili wer OK but Parker still did not shoot well. Oberto had a good game and grabbed several rebounds.

Spurs need to continue improvement in game 3.

Spurs win 96-89 but it was a much closer game. I thought the refs had a VERY good game. Anthonys fouls were fouls. Camby had 4 but it did not affect his playing time. Nene Hilario played very well but I also thought his fouls call were correct. All that said, no one fouled out. Denver was 2-16 from 3-point land. They could not hit the three pointer but kept taking them. Denver also had 16 turnovers.

Spurs go back to San Antonio with a 3-1 series lead.

"Who Moved my Cheese" Part II:p

The Denver Post is Ripping Iverson. OUCH!

I watched the interview on TNT after the game with Iverson and he said:

"I just took what they gave me," Iverson said after the loss Monday night. "I'm not trying to take any credit away from them. They're running on me and it's been effective. They are making me take tough shots. Shadowing me. Making sure I receive more than one defender. It's something I got to get through."

I give AI credit for calling it like it is.
