It better not be, or people will find themselves unable to post. We've run these circles enough now.

ehh.. Yeah. I watched it.. Here is my take:
McGee- For now is the clear cut starter. His deep ball is very suspect, its not really all that impressive...No accuracy. But it could of been due to all the wind. Showed more poise the other two... He may be the Clear Cut starter now...But the Other two are quickly gaining ground.
J.Johnson- He had his moments where he really shined, but their were those that made him look like the Red-shirt freshman he is. IMO he has the strongest Arm out of all 3 Qb's, He is extremely athletic...and can take a hit(it will take a hit to bring him done...). He isn't lightening quick, but he is fast enough to evade defenders. He needs some more improvement..but from what i understand he was The most Improved QB during Spring training. Their is no doubt it my mind he will be on the field this year playing the "mop" up role (Assuming that A&M doesn't have a close game with Fresno or Montana). JJ is more in line to compete for a starting Job Next year then this year...He needs some game time experience.
Tanhill(i think thats his name)- Very Poised Guy, probably the most impressive out of the group(QB). Very Quick..and pretty Fast on his feet. Only knock i have on this guy is...all of his passes were under 15 feet. They weren't incredibly impressive throws...But he seemed to move his team Better then both JJ, and McGee.
Maroon Def- Crappy...Couldn't stop my grandmother from running a Counter
White Def- Less Crappy, but had major problems on the run as well.
Overall- I walked away knowing the same as i did when i started watching it...Nothing.
Honestly i hate they way A&M runs their spring Scrimmage...In essence it means nothing about even a individuals performance. They aren't working with the second and third teams...Its more a mixture of everyone into 2 separate teams. Sure its easy to follow, but i cant really walk away with a Yeah...blah blah looks great...or Blah blah looks bad... Its a mesh of guys that may or may not be familiar with each other (on the level of 1st team 2nd team continuity.)

I agree. Also I thought Tarrant had a few good moments.

Aye. Tarrant looked amazing, especially with his 60 yard run near the end. But the defenses were mixed and matched, and there weren't any deep balls thrown, so I can only hope that things change. At least we went for it on 4th and 2 so MAYBE Fran's got a pair.
Oh, and it's about time, KT.

Its one thing to go for it in a Spring game, and something completely different in an actual game.
The way A&M runs the spring drills doesn't really say anything about the progress they have or haven't made...Kind of hard to tell anything.

actually he was on the field the entire time. The announcer called him the "commisioner" of the game.
The young QB Johnson(I think) had some nice running skills, he did not have time to throw on most passing plays and seemed to just tuck and run. He did have a nice throw across the middle I believe it was in the 2nd quarter.

I hope their inability to stop the run doesn't flip the switch in fran's head that they should have a decent running game on offense...

He has a Very strong arm and seemed very hesisitant to just sit back and go through his checks...But when he did (2nd quarter) he throw a Rocket to Number 4. i think it was something like a 31 yard pass. He also through a pretty nice TD pass...Nothing amazing, but went through his checks and got the open man. He has some real potential...But Fran the Zebra man is a known QB killer....so the guy doesnt have that going for him.
Japorkey didnt like all that impressive...He didnt seem to be that dominant Donut Bulldozer... But then again, its only a spring game.
Like i said before in 2 of my previous posts. Aggy runs things to where you cant tell if the team has meshed or how well someone has improved. The fact that all of the team is mixed together doest really allow for team chemistry to play a role.
BUT to be completely honest... They are improved, but i dont see them beating Tech,OU, or UT.

he had a couple of runs that were very impressive. I do not know what was shown on t.v. but he had one run that was only 7-8 yards but he left the entire defense all over the ground. Me and my son looked at each other and then just watched the jumbotron for the replay. He also had a few other runs where he looked like he went out of bounds b/c he did not want to hurt the d-back:eek:
It was a nice atmosphere, I hope they do well next year.

I saw the run, but it just wasnt what i was expecting out of the Lufkin Product.
Dont get me wrong, he runs with tremendous force, but he didn't look sharp IMO... But then again its only a Spring game. kind of hard to tell.
Johnson is a fantastic pick up, i really though A&M was going to lose him to Oregon... But for some odd reason he likes Franchokey...
Here is some of his HS video... Not the best Clips but they give you an idea of the effect he had on Defensive game plans Jerrod Johnson (http://dallasnews.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=23129)

He is a good QB, I noticed that saturday, I hope that he is able to get in the mix b/c he has some assets that they can use. On those H.S. clips, If I was his dad I would chew my nails off while watching him return kicks.

im not really sure why they had him return kicks... Its not like we didnt have someone else to do it. I just think the coach was fascinated by the guys versatility.
