Alright I wont discuss too much as I know there isn't a strong Cowboy following on here, but here are a couple notes from the OSU Orange - White Spring Game on Saturday:
1) There very may well be a QB controversy in Stillwater this summer. Zac Robinson saw a lot of playing time towards the end of last season, and had a solid day today. Bobby Reid's performance was very uninspiring, and didn't show any signs that he should be the starting quarterback.
2) Defense looked solid. A lot of defensive problems the past couple seasons as been a result of miscommunication and missed assignments. This group of players now have a couple years experience amongst them and looked very solid. Justin Gent (Irving MacArthur) looked very promising, and had an INT returned for a TD. He'll see some serious playing time.
3) Running game will be solid. You'll see at least 3 or 4 backs running the ball for the Cowboys next year (Toston, Savage, Crosslin).
Also, the Boone Pickens expansion is starting to come along. I might take some pics and upload them later this week.

Tosten is a stud. He'll end up being a very good RB at OSU.

Don't forget that any OSU opponents should be ready for some trick plays, as there were a few pulled off very well at that game...

were you at the game or is there a place online where we can see some of it? i'd like to see at least some clips and see what we have in store this fall when i'm there...
hearing that the defense looked solid is very inspiring. we had a very potent offense last season putting up fairly high ppg with just a few lapses...but the defense seemed to let the other teams hang around, and even sneak back in and take a few that shoulda been W's for the pokes. anyways...people think i just say it because i'm a cowboy, but when i tell my friends that OSU isn't going to be the same lame team this season that it has been in the past...i get laughed at. i have high hopes this season and can't wait for some college football

I was at the game. If I find any video I'll post here. You're right on about last years team, the lost several winnable games: Kansas State (4 pts), Texas A&M (1pt Blocked EP), Tech (6 pts, blown 17 pt lead) and Oklahoma (8 pts, several red zone oppotunities). That right there was the difference between a 7 - 6 season, and a 11 - 2 season. I'm hoping experience will win a couple of games for us this year.

When talking to a friend a few weeks ago I said I wouldn't mind seeing Zac start... that game just confirmed my thoughts. Zac is a stud, and can run nearly as well as Bobby.

i think this season will start lookin more like the end of last season with bobby playing the most and zac comin in occasionally...but as the season goes on i wouldn't mind see zac get some more playing time either. i think which ever guy could step up and start hittin bowman and the others should play more...because if we could establish a solid passing game with the run we are stackin up right now, our offense could be ridiculous
