DiceK Matsuzaka gave up 1 run on 7 hits while striking out 10 in 7 innings pitched today in KC. He also walked one and threw 108 pitches. Not a bad first start for him and Beckett looked solid yesterday. If we can now get Schilling to pitch better than he did on Monday then things could be looking good on Yawkey Way this summer.
I know its only one start and its too early to get excited but thats not a bad way to start the season for DiceK.

What did I tell you FF - he'll be a 20 game winner!
I think the Sox will take it all if they stay healthy.

I was hoping the Royals would upset Dice K's debut. He pitched well considering it was 36 degrees at game time. David DeJesus had his number though, going 2 for 3 with a dinger. Here's to Dice K and the BoSox sweeping the Yanks this year. Beat anyone you like except the Rangers and my hometown hapless Royals.
Next stop for Boston, Arlington Texas for an Easter weekend series. Hopefully the Rangers will get their first win of the season.

The Rangers take game 1 against Boston 2-0 and get their first win of the season. Tejada pitched a solid game, and Wakefields knuckleball was semi-effective. I don't think the Rangers will get to see Dice K since he pitched yesterday (Thursday). I'm not sure if pitchers are on 4 or 5 day rotation early in the season.
