I offered my buddy either Tiger Woods or "the field" in The Masters for a steak dinner, he took the field... I figure I got the best of it... Thoughts?

I think Tiger wins. My dark horses are Adam Scott or Aarron Baddeley.

This will probably look like heck, but here's the leaderboard
I think JJ is 3 over - I saw him hole a bunker shot for a birdie - he's got game for sure. I might pull for Wetterich - he's a big American hitter - looks like he could be from Texas - and he won the Nelson last year.

1 Tim Clark -2 F -1 71 71 -- -- 142
1 Brett Wetterich -2 F +1 69 73 -- -- 142
3 Vaughn Taylor -1 F E 71 72 -- -- 143

Saturday was definitely "moving day" at Augusta, but it was downward only movement - except for Tiger and Retief:

1 Stuart Appleby +2 F +1 75 70 73 -- 218
2 Justin Rose +3 F +3 69 75 75 -- 219
2 Tiger Woods +3 F E 73 74 72 -- 219
4 Padraig Harrington +4 F +3 77 68 75 -- 220
4 Zach Johnson +4 F +4 71 73 76 -- 220
4 Vaughn Taylor +4 F +5 71 72 77 -- 220
7 Bradley Dredge +5 F +4 75 70 76 -- 221
8 Tim Clark +6 F +8 71 71 80 -- 222
8 Luke Donald +6 F +3 73 74 75 -- 222
8 Jim Furyk +6 F +4 75 71 76 -- 222
8 Retief Goosen +6 F -2 76 76 70 -- 222
8 Jerry Kelly +6 F +6 75 69 78 -- 222
8 Phil Mickelson +6 F +1 76 73 73 -- 222
8 Rory Sabbatini +6 F +1 73 76 73 -- 222
8 David Toms +6 F +2 70 78 74 -- 222
16 Jeev Singh +7 F +4 72 75 76 -- 223
16 Vijay Singh +7 F +7 73 71 79 -- 223

Oddly enough, I walked with Appleby for almost 15 holes last Saturday at the Shell - the guy is cool enough to beat Tiger - he is unflappable - but I think Tiger walks off with his 5th green jacket at the end of the day.

The course wins this week, and Tiger is one step closer to immortality.

Might as well host the U.S. Open at Augusta. That's some high scores.

I actually enjoy golf more on TV when the holes are absurdly difficult.

Even par wins it for sure. +1 and you're probably good and +2 gets a playoff at worst. Appleby has a very short swing so when he gets nervous and quick he tends to pull hook it. Not what you wanna do on all those dogleg lefts at Augusta. Tiger wins this if he plays like he did today.

Tiger doesn't look like Tiger today. He's in the hunt but his body language is anything but confident. Still, he can hit a great shot and turn it around. But this might not be his day.

Yeah he looks really frustrated. I expect him to kick it up on a notch on the back 9 though.

Rory Sabbatini hit that loopty-loop putt. He is falling apart as we speak though. The back 9 on Sunday separates the "playas" and the fakes.

Yeah - gotta love it...."I'm Zach Johnson from Cedar Rapids, Iowa".I thought it was interesting when Tiger was on hole 15 and he drove the ball just into the rough. Zach put him in the position that he usually puts others in, trying to do more than you can or making dumb plays. If he lays up there and then pitches up and one putts he probably goes on and forces a playoff. Instead he tried to make a great play and hit it into the water.

I agree Drake, but if Tiger had made the breaking 15 footer on 14 like Zach did - I think he does lay-up there on 15. He then had a straight 12 footer to pull within 1 and misses that one too -it just was not his day. I'm really happy for Zach - the course favored a "normal" golfer last week. Looking back - you wonder why David Toms was not closer to the top?
