I think there should be an Asterisk for the teams who don't actually fill the nice stadiums up... for example....

1. Neyland (Tennessee)
2. Notre Dame
3. Florida Field
4. *Kyle Field (Texas A&M)
5. Husky Stadium (Washington)
6. Tiger Stadium (LSU)
7. Michigan Stadium
8. Camp Randall Stadium (Wisconsin)
9. Memorial Stadium (Nebraska)
10. Autzen Stadium (Oregon)

this is merely an example nothing more...

The MWLF reminds all true Aggies that discretion is the better part of valor. No need to get all huffy over childishness.

Eventually DKR will be among those listed above but for right now its only a treasure to those of us who have or desire to stand in a sea of burnt orange, drunkenly singing the texas fight song.

with that said, i must give credit where credit is due and kyle field is a very nice stadium. the people that fill those stands however is a different story:D

Aggies are good fans, and DKR is a great stadium with a lot of good people as well. jtk still loves the Texas tailgating scene. Closing the North endzone is going to go a long way towards making DKR one of the best in the nation.

I honestly can't argue too much with the list, though my enthusiasm for Huskie Stadium is well known. But, their football team leaves a lot to be desired. If they were to become a national power again, it would have to be top 3.

I've never been to any of them. But if I get a chance to see a game, I've always wanted to go to a Michigan home game. Kyle Field and Notre Dame would be fun too. I would go see a U.T. game if they were playing any team outside of the Big XII or the state of TX (then I could go for the home team ;) )

Michigan Stadium is up there because of size alone. Almost everybody who has been there (and isn't a die-hard Michigan fan) will tell you that the Big House is a dump with small seats and bad sight lines.

I'm partial to everything SEC when it comes to college football, so I would added Jordan-Hare onto that list (Auburn) and remove Autzen. Autzen is a great home field, but as a stadium, there are better out there in my opinion.

jtk just noticed that Ohio Stadium is not on that list. jtk doesn't know if he's ever seen a top 10 list without The Shoe on it.

jtk really thinks the Shoe has to be up there. It's among the largest, widely considered one of the loudest and most intimidating and it is a pretty attractive stadium.

This list is over 5 years old

How do I know?

1) In the description of Autzen Stadium it was "a 12,000 seat expansion is set for 2002
2) Boone Pickens is called Lewis Field

I take it the list is slightly outdated...

:p

How big is DKR going to be?

I know Jones Stadium won't be on any of these lists, but once they finish the facades of the east, north and south areas, then at least it will look excellent. Having only the West side of the stadium looking nice...looks incomplete, like it's out of place.

The Shoe lost any appeal it might have had to me after I watched a fan captured video of gameday in Columbus. I've had little to no respect at all for OSU after seeing that. I know college towns are crazy on gamedays, I've experienced it, but that was just something else entirely. I wouldn't go there if someone paid me.

The footage I saw was from a game they played against Michigan. Not sure of the year.

That was pretty disgusting. Seeing the way they treat their city and then seeing that girl relieve herself in the stairwell. Freaking disgusting.

That video was shot by Michigan fans, but that is a testament to the overall crappiness of the Ohio State fans... not Ohio Stadium. Anybody who has had any dealings with Ohio State fans will tell you that they are the worst out there. jtk posted on Bucknuts for a while and after the Texas/Ohio State game, that board was literally overrun with people blown away about how hundreds of thousands of people could converge on a few square miles and tailgate, party, enjoy a game and such without fighting, defacing property or just being stupid. Most (that post on that one board anyway) came back embarrassed by the way they treat their city on gameday and most called Austin their favorite road trip. Ohio State fans do suck though. Behold...

Those are the three that I have been to.

1. Notre Dame - The whole game day experience is one that I will never forget. Been to 3 games at ND.
2. Michigan - My friend has season tickets to Michigan and I was fortunate enough to join him for a game several years back when they played Iowa. Braylon Edwards had a ridiculous game making 2 unbelievable catches. You look at the stadium from the outside and it looks very small until you walk in and you are staring down about 47 rows. It gave me chills after they announced that we were a part of the biggest sporting event of the day.(114,000+)
3. Texas A&M - Eventhough michigan had 114,000+ Kyle field was still louder. Been to several games there.

I remember walking toward Michigan stadium, thinking "what a nice, quaint, park like setting". The only real tip, is the light standards. Then you get in the place which is built into the ground, and think to yourself "Man, I guess this place CAN hold 110,000+ after all".

Which game did you attend?

Did not get to attend a game. I was in Ann Arbor on business. In my spare time while travelling in those days, I would search out Football Stadiums, and Auto Racing Venues in the evenings, weather permitting.

I want to say the first time I saw Michigan Stadium, was in the early 90s. I believe the sign showing the record attendance in that day, was like 106,000.

What game, or games, have you gotten to attend?

Ihave only been to that one. Michigan vs Iowa 2004. Braylon Edwards had 150 yds receiving. I would love to go back though. Michigan won 30-17
