game days here are fun and the tailgating atmosphere around it is pretty sweet too.
It's not near as electric as a Neyland Stadium but it still is pretty amazing. Nothing beats an autumn afternoon in Athens when all the dresses come out and those little black G's are painted on the cheeks of the women. man its as close to heaven as I have ever been.

I love SEC stadiums. They are all so huge and unique. I'm hoping to go watch OkSt. at Sanford next season.

do it man. SEC game days are freaking sweet. I aint going to lie though they have some pretty crude fans out here that will let ya have it so if you can get over that then you will enjoy your time out here. The tailgating is great as is the scenery inside the stadium.
I plan on going to that game as well as the Tennessee game in Knoxville and the Auburn game here in Athens next year.

Sometime in life, I'm going to HAVE to go to a Florida-Georgia game. I've heard it's one of, if not the best atmospheres in the college world.

I've never been but I cant imagine it topping the State Fair and the RRS.
The hatred for everything Florida is evident though.
Maybe if I'm luck I'll get to experience it this year.

Your quite welcome for the pics.
No sir its not difficult at all to root for UGa ;)
I've only been out here for 3 weeks now and already have bought or been given many UGA shirts.
I've got more of the campus and some of the baseball games I've been to if you would like me to post those.

Yeah, my son and I visited UGa two weeks ago during his spring break and we checked out that monster of a stadium, also. Very pretty and amazingly tightly wedged into that campus.
Best T-shirt of the college visitation trip: Athens, GA: the seven best years of your life.
SEC stadiums are the best. I've been to Big Ten, Big XII, ACC campuses plus Notre Dame. Most everywhere you go in those conferences the visitors are treated like guests, sure there might be some friendly taunting but for the most part, very pleasant experiences. Tailgating is like a family reunion and visitors are like distant cousins.
In the SEC, if you are wearing the wrong color, you have to be ready for battle. The smack talk is intense and in-your-face. Tailgating is less a reunion and more a competitive sport. My experience is if you can give as well as you get with a smile on your face, you will have a fun time as a visitor just about everywhere. Offering a beer to your friendly competitors usually defuses any hard feelings.
Tennessee and Arkansas fans sometimes present special issues since some of those folks are swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool. I've seen some ugly things in Knoxville and in Fayetteville that I attribute to the general backwardness of some of their fans. However, every school has its idiots. Get them drunk and bad things can happen anywhere.
To me, Florida and LSU are the two best game-day experiences in the SEC. You'd better bring your "A" game there. Alabama and Georgia are close behind, I'm sure Auburn belongs on the same list but I've never been there. I hear South Carolina is quite an experience also. Ole Miss and Vanderbilt are like going to a UVa game -- lots of fun but very genteel and since the fans don't expect to win all the time, it's not quite as intense there. Mississippi State and Kentucky? Not really big-time environments.
