Very good run for A&M. A&m should have won - but, they did not elevate their game through MarchMadness and they were dog tired in the end - live and learn - hopefully they come back stronger next year.

So, I'm driving home yesterday listening to sports radio....this guy calls in going BALLISTIC about the "Lack of Respect" given to the Aggies. I mean he just goes off on the Hosts. The hosts tries to be civil with him and explains that there is no lack of respect for the aggies and that they actually thought it was great what was going on with their basketball program. The caller then says..."all you talk about is TEXAS, TEXAS, TEXAS!!!" After about 5 minutes of getting this off his chest the host asks him "Which school has the better basketball PROGRAM?" the guy says...."they are pretty much ever, but if I was a kid coming out of High School...and I had to make a decison between A&M and UT I would choose A&M's basketball Program"...the host tries to explain...."A&M had the better TEAM this year, but how can you say the PROGRAMS are even? UT has a far better Basketball program and is a perrenial power every year and look at all the loses they suffered and look what they accomplished in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year" The guy just isnt buying it......The host asks him...."so you're telling me a good year and trip to the sweet 16 equals a "dynasty"?"....the guy replies......"We beat Texas"........I mean...SERIOUSLY...is that ALL that matters to A&M? "Goodbye to the Texas University....Good bye to the orange and white"....are in the FIGHT SONG? I mean...wow!....I know all aggy fans arent like that, but......it seems like beating Texas is all that matters...you can go 1-10 every year as long as that 1 win came against Texas.

When you consider the way the Ags went out and the way Texas did, not to mention how both games between the 2 teams went this year, I do not think any crow eating is necessary. The Ags did after all, lose to a team that was seeded higher.
