No he hasn't tested positive for anything else.
But the good Lord gave me a brain and I know how to use it. As soon as he can explain to me how his head grew 2.5 hat sizes in the last 15 years...I'll let him off the hook. Until then he is insulting my intelligence and I will not acknowledge any of his accomplishments.

LOL, maybe he hit a growth spurt! I'm not saying he's innocent, just that he's never got caught. Theres a long list we could come up with of MLB players that are probably doing roids.

Consider Mr. Bonds caught...
He's guilty in the public eye...that's enough for me. The thing about it is...Barry doesn't care. He has never cared about the fans or what they think. Karma will get #25...he will pay for what he's done to himself and the game.

Another person that needs to be questioned is Roger Clemens. With all due respect, he's gotten alot bulkier over the years just like Bonds.
Oh, and once again with all due respect, steroids weren't illegal in the game of baseball when Mr. Bonds, and OTHERS, took them.

True, but McGwire didn't test positive, and he won't make the HOF. Palmeiro won't make it either, nor will Sosa and many others.
I'm sick of cheaters and cheating, and people who make excuses for it, and people who enable it. If Bonds is so clean, I guess we can thank his personal trainer for that. He keeps going to prison on contempt charges to protect Bonds because if he spills what he knows, Bonds is through.
No reason for him to go to prison if he doesn't know something, right, just makes sense.

Sure Merriman is and it was a disgrace that he was asked to the Pro Bowl. Just don't ask me to be stupid like the rest of the hangers-on and idol worshipers, and stick my head in the sand when I know what I see.
I really not too up on Bagwell, I never followed his career very closely. But if it walks like a duck..........

None of the other pumped up players are chasing the all time home run record. That is the reason for the focus, and because he was a HOF'er without the juice.

When the Rocket comes out of nowhere and wins 35 games one year...then we can add him to the discussion. 'Ya see usually home run hitters have numbers that decrease as they get older. Or at least stay the same...
They don't go 33,42,40,37,34,49,73:eek: ,46,45, and 45.
Bonds' numbers don't even look right. They look like some guy's PlayStation stats or something. Guys approaching and over 40y old don't hit 45+ HRs consistently. It just doesn't happen...color me skeptical.

It has nothing to do with hating, it has everything to do with respecting this great game that was built and made great by players long before Bonds was even thought of. Where is Bob Gibson when you need him to plant that fastball in Bonds earhole?
Look at the numbers of the games all time great hitters and look attheir power numbers, as wide has alluded to they tend to decline as their career is coming to an end not surge.
In baseball records are sacred, one of the most sacred records is that of Hank Aarons Homerun record, he did it the right way and Bonds will break it by not doing it the right way, much like Wide, I too will never acknowledge him as the HR king. If baseball refuses to acknowledge the greatness that is Charlie Hustle then I refuse to acknowledge the cheater that is and will always be Bonds.

Not too worry Mom. I've been a Yankee fan longer than Farmer has been alive - lots longer. That is not going to change. A sox fan and a Yankees fan can agree on selected items, even though that can truly be amazing. One could assume the reasoning behind condeming a steroids-taker is because they are cheating and/or setting the playing field unequal/unleveled. My question is, how far do we go back, and how do we factor "cheating" in sports? Was it considered cheating when MLB inacted a rule of "No Blacks Allowed", within their policy of eligibility, up untilt he date of April 15, 1947? Did players like Ruth, Gherig, DiMaggio and Yogi benefit from an era of non-equality? Was THAT cheating? How about the allegations (1 player who admitted) that the Pittsburgh Steelers used performance-enhancing drugs during Super Bowl championship seasons in the 1970's? Are they consider cheaters for alledgedly using steroids? Yes, it was legal in the NFL, when they were doing it, but wasn't it legal when Bonds was supposedly doing it? Alzado is an example of something that was extremely wild in use, at the time of the 80's.
How about other NFL'ers in the 1980's and early 1990's, who admittedly used cocaine and heroine while playing football. LT, Manley and Irvin all of whom have admitted using, and expressed how prevelant "crack" was in the NFL throughout the 80's and 90's. Were they cheating when they were hyped up on drugs and playing like wild beasts on the football field? And, what about Lance Armstrong? He was accussed of steroids. He was, supposedly cleared, until Floyd Landis - another American - tested positive for "roids"! Is their success and mere accussation enough to warrant them guilty?
How about things like growing up in a rich home, where you can afford special trainers and luxuries like expensive supplements and the advantage of going to the "better" rich city or private schools? Is that unfair to the athletes that are born in poverty, but have to train in a garage to get to the same level of those who have a better start? Sounds crazy, I know.
My point is, we've picked Barry Bonds out of history and said, "We believe you're guilty, and nothing will convince us otherwise!"...yet, we choose to single only Barry and/or the Baseball era over the last 15 or 20 yrs. (ie...Sosa, McGwire) What about the rest of history and sports? If they cheated, fine...they cheated. But, why stop here? Why just these guys?
I have no problem expressing the boundaries of playing fields, and punishing those who choose to insult or disgrace that game and its' boundaries. However, when I choose to point my finger I want to be fair in my decision. I want to say, "Bonds you only succeeded due to an unfair/unequal playing field! But so did ALL these other GREATS!"
My thinking is simple, if Sosa or McGwire or even Bonds had excellent personalities and they were truly humble, open and sorry about their supposed use, then I think the fans wouldn't be so harsh. Mainly I point out Barry Bonds...he's aarogant and a jerk to the media, teammates and fans. Why in the world would they defend him, even if he is innocent? Bonds biggest opposition is his attitude/mouth...not roids.
All of that said, I think history needs to check itself, because alot of athletes have succeeded due to unfair playing fields.

Bob Gibson would have Pumpkinhead pissin' in his pants. Pitch one comes within an inch of that helium filled balloon he calls a head. Pitch two is a pea at the knees....follow that with another bb at the old coconut. By this point Barry won't know whether to [censored] or go blind. Strike 2 and 3 come with ease.
Remember Bob Gibson finished the '68 season with an ERA of 1.12:eek: with 13 shutouts. He did that against some pretty salty hitters too. I'll take Gibby and it ain't even close. The steroids only work if you can make contact with the ball. Barry wouldn't make good contact against Gibson.

dont try and twist meaning into what I said. I said what I did because Bonds is an *** hole who needs to go up against one of the best to ever play the game in Bob Gibson. Gibson much like Koufax would not shy away from est the inside part of the plat. Being a big dominating lefty like he was I would to have loved seen Bob Gibson a pitcher and great ball player est his superiority over bonds. It had nothing to do with him competing. The fact that you would even suggest that leads me to think you no jack **** about baseball.

It's 5:30 am and I have a 9:00 doctors appointment. I http://www2.hornfans.com/wwwthreads/images/icons/censored.gif hate going to the http://www2.hornfans.com/wwwthreads/images/icons/censored.gif doctor and I hate it even more at 9 in the http://www2.hornfans.com/wwwthreads/images/icons/censored.gif morning. http://www2.hornfans.com/wwwthreads/images/icons/mad.gif
Why can't there be a doctor's office open at 4 in the morning.

Yeah I know...
Mays played when the gap at the Polo Grounds was what?.....943ft??
Good God that park was a pitcher's heaven was it not?
You take Bonds away from that BS porch in RF...and McCovey Cove...stick his swollen f'n milkjug head in the Polo Grounds...suddenly he's freakin' Tony Gwynn without the batting average to match.
After careful consideration, I have to admit that I may have been wrong. I must have been thinking of Charles Gibson ( Good Morning America ) instead of Bob Gibson.
