Definatley not, however, we had no problems that can't be fixed. Ball security, making sure to run the right play, and snapping the ball both to the QB and Punter. I think falling behind quickly made us uncomfortable offensively as we were playing catch up for the first time.
At least I hope Flower Mound won't completely revamp their offense and defense like North Mesquite did to win the game against us Friday.

The game with PESH was'nt pretty, but the defense played extremely well and the offense has some specific things to work on over the bye week, like pass protection and picking up the blitz, which I guess is redundant....

Copperas Cove-55, Waco U-14...Very satisfied. Finally saw the offense clicking a little better and our defense woke up the final 30 minutes of the game. Allowed zero total yards in the second half...Bring on District 13-5a baby. Heights its gonna be a different game then last year....

I look for Bell to have a nice bounce back game vs Flower Mound --

Very satisfied with SV's defensive effort vs Temple. The kicking game needs work and we need to take advantage of the gifts we get. However the game was over early so I shouldn't be too hard on them.

Specifically,
Lee losing to Colerain hurt, but then again we really don't know how good Lee is this year. Only time will tell. And Colerain didn't look too bad, either.[wink]
Consistency from the Garland schools....NG lost. And SG has a tough test against SGP this week. So does the Owls....against Carter. The district has the talent...it just needs to play like it knows it does.
And most of all, Texas City. 0-3? Wow! Coach Finn was such a great defensive coordinator when Rusty Dowling was head coach, and they were winning state titles. When he took the reigns as head coach the program slipped into oblivion. This past weekend they lost to Alvin. Alvin? Yes I said it right, and no I'm not drugs....they lost to Alvin!
Well if that wasn't embarrassing enough, TC has to play a pretty good Galveston Ball team tomorrow night....and this year, a darn good Friendswood team and a La Marque team poised to get back to the state title.
Needless to say.....it'll be a long year!!!
