Pierre & Serra should be a good match up. I'm surprised to see they chose Houston.. but werks for me.
I'm glad it's in Houston....How times have changed. I remember the UFC was underground and they wouldnt annouce locations until the day of, in fear that the cops would come shut it down.....now.......becoming a big threat to boxing.

I'm glad to see it here too. I never would have dreamed it would ever make it to this place. White must be giving in a little. Have any of the rules changed to allow it to come here?

From what I've heard...UFC is one of the SAFEST sports out there. I read on a website that it was safer than Ice Skating. White is using the "Ultimate Fighter" success to make a major push everywhere. Only the Die Hard Mixed Martial Arts fan have a problem with the UFC.....I've heard a few guys call it the WWE and the American Idol of MMA......International Fight league was here in Houston last Friday....had a pretty big crowd so I expect the UFC to be even bigger....and this thing is just starting....it's only going to grow.

Tickets are priced pretty reasonably too, if it wasn't due to the fact that the best fighter in the world is also fighting that night(Joe Calzaghe) I think I would seriously look into going..... :D

yea, they changed a few rules to let the sport become mainstream. they took out head butting, bighting and punching people in their spine and the back of their head/neck
there was an interview on cnn a couple of weeks ago about how the sport has changed and evolved since its underground days that was really interesting
