In Cambridge Minn. A farmer who chased down a thief and held him at gunpoint till police arrived has been charged with second degree assualt, a felony. The thief who was charged with a misdemeanor theft for stealing about $ 5 worth of gasoline from the farmers neighbor. Now to me that says it all for the wussy society we live in. Dang shame when a decent guy trying to help his friend and neighbor out goes to jail because of some punk thief and a Sherrif that does not have the cajones to stand up and say he did a good job. I hope the NRA hears about this and files so many class action suits against the township they go broke.

Yeah I thought about that after I posted it. However I think our farmer would have done more than hold the thief at gunpoint!:p

hold up hold up

EVERYBODY get off the damn farmer's nuts!

Both these guys are in the wrong here!

The Theif for stealing in the first place, and the damn farmer for holding the guy down at gunpoint threatening to shoot him for just 5 dollars worth of ***** gas.

its only 5 dollars guys...and he's gonna take a gun to his temple?

unnecessary force

he doesn't deserve that high of punishment, but both are wrong

That is crazy, but I have heard times when someone breaks into someones house and gets hurt, they can sue the homeowner. And if you shot someone when they are breaking into your house and they run or fall outside the house you can be charged. Another if someone gets raped or injured on your property and you have nothing to do with it you can also be liable.
This is one messed up world we are in.
