As someone who has been close to and supported this program for 15 years...that was very cool...That was Coach Ledbetter in the black windbreaker, the man who hired Coach Dodge, sitting on the bench behind him...

And who do you think supplied the music backdrop??:p ;) :D
It was fun to watch it made and part of a much bigger project that chronicled (huh?) the undefeated freshmen year. The fact that this stuff gets out to the masses so quick is wild!

Life goes on. At this time next year you might have to break that video back out of the vault to get your emotions back for ole' "Dodgeball". Coach Wasson might make you forget about Todd Dodge.

I thought " Welcome to Paradise" might not have worked. Anyway, what would you put to that video? My other thoughts at the time...
My Way- Frankie
Love Hurts- Nazareth
Teach your Children- Crosby, stills & Steve Nash
Some of you youngins' probly don't remember those but they would have fit- I went with traditional.
What the heck am I doing, it's baseball season!!!

for anybody that ever got cussed out by that man, and i did plenty of times, it brings back ireplacable memories. i agree a little cheesy but if you played for him you know there was nothing cheesy about the man.

Here are the lyrics. Play the video and sing along. Ok, everybody begin.
"Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)"
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test, and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
So take the photographs, and still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth it was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

From my experience...I'd say no...no difference at all.

Is there a difference?
He said cussed out, which in mind is a figure of speech equivalent to being chewed out. Anybody who knows Todd Dodge, as you do know he's not the type to curse alot.

For the record, that song shall remain exclusively attached to the cold Chicago day when they eulogized Mr Payton in front of thousands at Soldier Field.
If you've ever seen any footage, it'll rip your guts out. So, please... don't bring that song up ever again...

This is a very fitting tribute to Todd. Since he signed on with UNT he really didn't get the final closure he wanted with his players. He wins State then everyone went on Christmas break and he went to work. He got some measure of closure at the football banquet, but this tribute is very appropriate. Many little SLC'ers were disappointed that they wouldn't be able to play for him. He's a good one. The numbers: 98-11 over 7 years. Averaged 14 wins a year. Undefeated state champs 4 times, 3 in a row. .899 winning percentage, 3 mythical national championships, 79-1 in 5A. Unbelievable!

he did not cusse very often...but i have seen him just go off on a player or two. there are somethings that were enough to set him off. and i mean chewed out. he would grab me by the facemask and say "your a smarter player than that" your right he is not one to just throw out profanities, but on occasion it did happen and if i know you had to have seen this at least once.
