If you can get a copy to me, I can divide it up into 10 min segments and post it on Youtube. That site is fantastic, but there is a 10 min limit.

I've seen a clip on Youtube of the game winning touchdown and the radio broadcaster along with the Panther Nation was going crazy! But I'm looking for the whole game where I can kick back and watch it on the big screen.

when looking for old games tapes... your best bet is going to the field house and ask coach if you can have permission to make a copy of so and so game. Have your own tape or dvd of coarse. Most schools have gone digital so they may have a DVD of it. good luck.

We were at the game...and I actually met Reggie McNeal's mom there.....really nice lady and I was talking to her about rumors A&M putting Reggie at DB..and she was like nope..he is playing QB. Then we talked about the Waco-Lufkin playoff game in 2000. :D
It was cold as heck and raining...had an umbrella and still got wet on my pant legs.......I could not feel my feet cause of the cold and wet.
At the beginning of the game.....I was making fun of the Lufkin women in camoflauge coveralls with boots. By halftime I wasn't making fun of them....
We left at the half when it was 20-0 Trinity.....but, we listened all the way to the casinos and I was pissed when I heard the winning TD.
So, a teacher was kind enough to send me a copy right after the game.
I had watched it a few times...along with the Westlake game after the Trinity game........I really enjoyed watching Reggie McNeal play...too bad he's still not at Lufkin.

Saw Reggie in Best Buy Saturday with his dad - hadn't seen him in a while - looked good. Hopefully Ricky (dad) was beating some sense into that fool.

Any news on someone having a copy of the whole game on tape or DVD?
Thanks

We have a average quality VHS tape of the game. We have made a couple of DVD copies for ourselves and others. The quality is not the best, but it is the entire game recorded from a KIBN broadcast. Give us a few days and we will see what we can do for you. PM or email us at the Panther site if you are interested.
SuperCentex may have a better copy available.

If you guys can get me a copy via VCR cassette, I can digitize it and get it on DVD. Again, garbage in, garbage out. If the quality is poor, it's still going to be poor.
Was Reggie at the height of his football career in this game? I often wonder.

Reggie owns every QB record in aggy history. Just thought I would point that out.

as much as I love the aggies, that statement would hold a lot more weight if he had played at a QB-friendly school. Saying what you said is akin to saying "she doesn't sweat much for a fat girl".
My question is not a slam at Reggie. Truly is what he did in that game more impressive than anything he did in maroon?

Reggie was inconsistent in college - and was still A&M's best qb ever by a mile. I think if he had had a solid senior year - this talk would be non-existent, but I do understand it.
I equate what he did against a very good OU team as a true freshman with zero starts under his belt - as one of the truly great qb performances in Big 12 history - certainly in A&M history. He almost single-handedly beat a top 5 or 10 team that day.

Yeah, that was a good game for sure. Rumor around town had it that he had a problem with the hippie lettuce towards the later part of his career. That might have had something to do with his inconsistency.
I still think Dustin Long was a better pure passer. But that QB competition was short-lived.
Reggie was a pure talent. That's a no argument.

At one point didn't Reggie through approx. 17,000 passes without an interception?

Let's just say alot of partying was done at A&M........but yeah Long was the ideal passer, Reggie just had that "IT".

that would of been a great game to see this past season but seeing as though lufkin couldnt handle a team such as round rock who barely got in playoffs lufkin would of gotten blown out by trinity this year they just didnt seem ready to take on a squad such as trinty

I can assure you the game was a let down but I dont takle anything from Round Rock. I promise you ET would have had their hands full with Dez Bryant.
