What's up with Waco?
Losing to 2 "weak" Region IV teams this year so far.
21-0 to Clemens and 35-14 to CC Calallen
Wassup with that?

Worst Waco team in the history of the program. I see 0-10 in our future for 2005.

I don't know if they will go 0-10 but wins will be hard to come by unless they improve a great deal!!!!

they were not that great last season and only had about 200 fans in the stands, I will hate to see the stands at the end of this season.

I dont see 0-10 but probably 4-6, no playoffs. the AP picked them to sweep through 13-5a. Cove is the favorite now. I see us, Consolidated and Shoemaker, suprisingly but true.

I'm not sold on Shoemaker. If you look at the stats they have given up over three hundred yard of offense(225 on the ground) to really weak team. They have won but their defense is suspect. If you allow 350 total yards to Ellison, 225 rushing yard up the middle to Del Valle, what do you think will happen when they play a "Good" team.

I dont like shoemakers chances either....their defense is not good....but im still gonna say Cove, AMC, and Waco with HH,Shoemaker,Bryan, and suprisingly, Belton ;)

I was at the Clemens/Waco game and I can tell you that they have a whole bunch of talent. If they can get it together, they could have a good team and make the playoffs. Good speed and good size!

I might take Bryan over Waco it's tossup right now and I am really not sold on anyone for second through eighth. Will be interesting this year.

There may be some suprising goin on...I really dont see HH, Bryan competing but maybe belton is a supriser like Shoemaker. Everyone knows that Waco, Cove and AMC are the favorites. Just like last year but Bryan was the suprise last year. You could see it again this year

Perhaps you are right but Shoemaker's defense is suspect and Waco's offense is nonexistent so I don't know where to look for the surprise. Belton has won 2 so far but Heights looked bad in loss to Cedar Park and barely beat Killeen I guess we will just have to see who pulls it together.

Belton has a very good chance...they are looking good after playing two pretty decent teams......they went to a different offense and it's working for them.
Shoemaker...if they win against McNeil next Friday.........I would put them over Belton. Shoemaker hasn't played any good teams...although they have a pretty great offense..their defense is weak.
Waco isn't gonna make it.
Cove should take 1st....aCm 2nd.......
Harker and Bryan are done.......

Although it is still early I see Cove then AMC and everyone else scrambling for position. It is still early and anything can happen.

It's an interesting district to me. I like the line up better than when AMC was part of that district that extended down towards Houston. The down side is the travel on the away games. We're kind of down on the southern tip of 13-5A.
I wonder how grades will affect each of the 13-5A schools. I don't have enough historical perspective to really comment on this, but grades could make things get really interesting.
I mean, is there one team that you'd rather play near the end of the season than at the beginning?

I'd rather play Waco early while they are down before they get their act together. I would not want to play AMC next week though.

I remember a couple of years Bryan was in 13-5A and A&M was in the Houston area district.
I like both teams in 13-5A.............it makes is stronger.
Awhile back when Waco moved up to 5-A....in 1986...it was Cove, Waco, Temple, Killeen, Killeen Ellison, Round Rock, and Round Rock Westwood.
Then moved to Waco, Temple, Cove, Leander, Killeen, and Ellison.
