Westlake offensive stats through 3 games

Rushing 590 yards
Passing 654 yards
Average 414 yards/game

Minor 449 yards rushing (most of this was in the last 2 games)
Jobe 13 catches for 329 yards
Foles 32 for 58 passing

Westlake has played 3 quality opponents (Leander, West Wood and AMC). I have the feeling that they are starting to come together. The offensive coordinator is still to conservative and predictable IMO but at least they have regained an offensive balance, which was missing last year. Unfortunately their district is weak until they get to Hays in the last game so it will probably be late in the season before we really know how good they are.

I expect they will move into the top 25 on this board this week.

Yeah last year we were really lacking on offense, diddnt have the same high scoring games like seasons past.

Joyce was a letdown running the ball, i think he only had like 400yds all season or something. Dornak was the main weapon, Wimberly could run but wasnt the best thrower, and when Gulla got injured him and Wimberly were never on the same page after that. We were also a very small team (body size).

How is Bastrop this year? they pulled us into a dogfight last year. I wish San Marcos was still in our district, they always gave us trouble.

Round Rock beat Bastrop 27 to 3 last night. Bastrop lost at least one other game so I'm not sure they have the quality of previous years. Hays looks to be the real deal especially with the RB that transfered from SA.

want is RR westWOOD all about? i know zero and am interested in churchill game...if you could reply on the thread i started earlier i would appreciate.

Think Texas Tech and you have RR Westwood. They'll pass all day, and alot of times they'll do it effectively, however they play zero defense. They are a team that most likely wouldnt make the playoffs in our district unless something drastic happened but they can get teams in trouble and they can upset alot of people.
