Wow, a few notes on the young offense that everyone has been un-sure of going into the season. Jeremy Claybon had 300 yards passing with 2 td's. Dez Bryant could possibly be the best WR in the state, if not the nation as a jr.. He made to unbelievable one handed catches that had the opponents standing and applauding the ability. He had 170 yrds, with 2 tds. Leonard Hewitt somehow missed the bus and had someone drive him to the stadium and pretty much sat the bench except for a couple of punt returns, good decision coach. But I think we had four players ejected for responding to the poor attitudes of Pa Memorial. But coach needs to teach them to keep their cool and just play. Looks like a good season ahead.

Pack......Nice win for you guys!!

The more I hear about your coach the more I like him........great decision to sit Hewitt. I'm also sure he will work with kids about keeping compose in future games......Good Luck this year!! :)

Not sure what happened to Leonard - I guarantee you he's embarrassed. And, Coach O probably would have done the same thing if it was the state title game.

Dez could be very special - but he's a work in progress. He's also an excellent blocking wr.

Lufkin had two juniors ejected - both in their second varsity game. Both were baited by a taunting opponent. Write this down - it won't happen again.

After watching this kid Byrant play last night and then last week, I must say that he is awesome when it comes to catching a football. He should have been starting last year. This kid outjumps everyone and makes catches you see in college and pro level. Next year he might be the #1 receiver on the college wish list if he keeps his head and stays heatlhy. And I thought Holman was a the best we had every had..........his timming the ball at it,s highest point is amazing.

Yeah Holman was the best before Dez i do agree. Thad Gordon, EJ Shankle M raines and R Thomas are not joke either. All very very very good. Dez is just on another level. The ejections were ridiculous. These refs wanted to be the star of the game and they were. They jumped the gun on several occasions. Twice throwing flags on PA Memorial for silly sideline warnings during plays and they kicked out 2 Lufkin players at least and 1 PA player. One was for pushing?? I was talking to this guy in the stands and we both agreed if this was Longview it would be a 1 on 1 game if they kicked everybody out for some minor pushing. Ugly game to me besides Dez!! Yall do not forget about Chris Brown are other starting corner. He sat the bench along with Hewitt so my guess is they missed together?? They had 2 back up corners in the whole night. Several were banged up last night but only Willis injury looked serious. He could miss a few games in my opinion. I hope i am wrong. R Thomas mom going out on the field during his injury was silly and embarrassing.

Chris Brown was out as well - wow - what happened guys? THis is ridiculous. Do these boys need an attitude adjustment? -- They better get the attitude together and quick. Still wondering how someone misses the bus - they can't leave campus at lunch - so what gives? I hate to continually diss our fine radio crew - but trying to get info. on the game from these guys is a bit tough.

Yeah Lufkin's radio crew is beyond brutal. I do know if C Brown missed the bus along with Hewitt but i know he is Lufkin's starting corner and i know he did not step 1 foot on the field last night. Pretty good sign something happened?? Some Chin guy played and D Landry played corners. Thank God they did not have a good passing team.

Chris sat out because he had missed a practice or two earlier in the week

and Hewitt did not go to school on Friday at all........thats how he missed the bus....which is VERY disapointing because he's suppose to be the "leader" of our team...which he hasnt shown...and leader has to be able to step up on AND OFF the field

Thanks for the notes LadyPack - we'll let these guys work this out - but agree with you about leadership.

Yeah that is not a good sign?? I have always heard great things about Hewitt and he is a big time leader on this team so it is kind of a let down. Hopefully this gave him a reality check.
