What's up with Midland Lee? 0-3, and a loss to Dallas Kimball? How the mighty have fallen.

I think it's early to say fallen. I can see how ML lost their first two (SLC and ET). As for the loss to Dallas Kimball last night, it wasnt MLs friday (like SA OConner last night agaist Boerne 14-38). This site has O'Connor sitting at the top spot in 27-5a in its projections. I know 0-3 is different, but I'm saying look at who MLs first two games were against.

I would put ML in with SA Churchill (and many others)...falling, but not yet fallen. Let the District games begin.

Remember how Euless Trinity Started the season 0-3 and 1-2 something like that, then went on to make it to the state semi-finals? yeah I do

What the heck is Lee doing traveling so much? Have they played a home game - I don't know where this one was played. Why dont they play Del Rio, EP, Amarillo, etc.? Wake-up call - Benson plays in the NFL now and you're really not that good to be traveling all over Texas.

I think their opener in Week 0 against SLC was a home game.

it was 1-2 when they beat us 42-39 when we had some best players hurt.

The difference between this year's Midland Lee team and last years edition is the play at QB. Last year's team had Terrance McCoy, Trent Hines, Leslie Neal, Chevar Bryson and Jamie McCoy, Terrance's brother. Jamie and Chevar have since gone off to TAMU to be followed by the rest of the Lee Rebel Blue Chips next year. Watching them this year, teams have stacked the box to stop Hines, without having to worry about respecting the passing game. Consider this, last year Midland Lee fielded 6 D1 prospects. Two of them are at TAMU, McCoy and Bryson, the other three are still at Lee. The lack of execution in the passing game leaves Terrance McCoy as an under utilized weapon and a tougher defensive front to go against for Hines. Simply put they are one dimensional.Coupled with the fact that J. McCoy was a true dual threat QB. It kept last year's defenses honest. Opposing defenses had to key on both the QB and the RB. This year is a diffrent story. Big props to Hines, he's earning every yard this year.

To be fair, many...many teams in the state could easily go 0-3 with the schedule they've played so far.

I agree, Parchman sure did leave Quisenberry a heck of a schedule to play.
