Back in the day, it was Zots - I could eat a whole string of them but I don't think I could stomach them now - The explosion of the center would send me into shock!! I also used to like the candy bracelets and necklaces - you would eat them and then things would stick to your neck and wrist for a week!!

These days, anything with Godiva written on it:D . If I can't have Godiva, Hershey's will do - they actually have a river of chocolate at the Hershey factory - at least they did when I made the trip there several years ago. I was in heaven!!

My Granny RIP used to eat the hell out of those orange slice things back in the day. Those and little peanut shaped soft candy things...what were those called?

Don't knock putting sugar on a rock and sucking on it till you try it......just make sure you suck the rock first to get it wet so the sugar will stick to it. :D

And speaking of candy and liquor in the same breath...

The candy sold here in the US that is called MonCherie is but a pale cousin of the original in Germany. The Mon Cherie in Germany is a dark chocolate-covered cherry in kirschwasser (Cherry liquor) that is heavenly.

We used them as our mid-morning cocktail while working in Seckenheim. And our before lunch apertif. Our end of the workday snack. Our after dinner drink. Our bedtime sleep aid.

Sometimes, candy is quicker! :D
