This movie looks like potential Will Ferrell classic - anyone seen the promos? Jon Heder (Napolean Dynamite) and Ferrell could be funny - or overdone?

The plot will be they become the first all-male pairs figure skating couple.

Thoughts?

When has Ferrell been in a movie that HASNT been hillarious. Hader needs to challenge himself and shake that "Napolean Dynamite" Character. But It sounds like something I would go see.

I thought they had a great idea with Talladega Nights, but took it way over the top. They had a great story as it was, and didn't need to try as hard as it did in my opinion. There were funny moments, but for the most part I was like "what the heck?"

I saw the preview for the skating movie, and it looks like it'd be pretty funny.

Craig T. Nelson as the "odd-ball" long hair mentor. Ever notice there's always an oldd-ball mentor in these movies?

Have you noticed the thread of actors in the Ferrell and Ben Stiller movies - they seem to be in each other's movies alot (Gary Cole as Ferrell's dad in Talladega, and the announcer on ESPN Ocho in Dodgeball), and how it often ties into people that have been in The Office tv show. Jenna Fischer's (Pam from the Office) in this movie, and it's a Stiller production.

My daughter bought me The Office - Season 2, and Talladega Nights for Christmas - amazing how many cross-overs are in those films/shows.

He's got one coming out with an old ABA theme from the '70's - looks like it might be funny. Yeah, the dude is smokin' right now - probably pulling down $30M a show - not bad work if you can get it.

thats what i dont get, i understand athletes making that much money, not really but just go with me, but people making that much money playing a glorified dress-up. dont get me wrong i enjoy going to the movies but to pay them more than anyone else is dumb IMO.

He has 5 projects in development, but there are hundreds of movies every year that never make it out of the 'in development' phase. 3 more are in some stage of production. It's not uncommon to have that many upcoming projects. He's just a busy guy. :D

His 'Phil Reston' credit was a short guest spot on the TV show "The Guardian".

if i was making that much money i wouldn't even need to see the script, i would sign on the dotted line every time. thanks for the info, btw.

Okay, I watch 40 Year Old Virgin and Dodgeball and Anchorman at least once a week - I'll be there on opening night:). Sounds hysterical!
