For what purpose? That would determine the recommendations, you see. :)


For example: The Soundtrack from the first Superman Movie (with Christopher Reeve) is probably NOT the one you want to impress a heavy metal junkie. It might help you break up with her. Or put her to sleep.

Movies that have really memorable background music,

The Deerhunter
The Godfather
The Untouchables
Schindler's List
Enemy at the Gates
Pride and Prejudice.

I just saw a commercial showing that Prince is perfoming at halftime of the Super Bowl.....


But Yeah.....that soundtrack was way ahead of it's time....he could re-release it today and it would be #1 on the charts.

Prince at halftime? wow...hope he doesn't show up with the butt-less bell bottoms again. That dude is a musical genius...but he is pretty strange.

My favorite sound track is the Batman Begins OST. The two composers are Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard.
