Man this conference looks horrible besides UT. Texas Tech was the only team that did not play this week.

NORTH
1.Mizzou- did not get to see any highlights, but looked confortable.

2.Colorado- Their D needs help if they can let Colorado St. score in 20 seconds.

The last 4 really look to have some problems....

3.Nebraska, 25-7 against Maine. I think they might lose to Wake Forest next week.

4.Iowa St.- Struggled with Illinois St. Will get blown out against Iowa next week.

5.Kansas- Struggled with Florida Alantic. I think they were losing at halftime.

6.KSTATE- Struggled with Florida International. 35-21 Final. Tech plays this team next week.

SOUTH
1. UT- no doubt about it.

2. Tech, have A&M and OU at home. Should be 6-0 going to Austin.

3. A&M- Looked decent, just little mistakes. Their D has to improve and stop them before the red zone.

4. OU- Wow... all this work up for the QB position and we come to find out they all suck. I love it. You cant win a game with that Pass D and only Peterson to fall back on. I think they go 6-5 with losses to UCLA, UT, A&M, TECH, and of course... TCU. A&M vs OU could be the only one i would change.

5. I really dont know who sucks more... OSU or BU. Baylor has OSU at home this year, so I really could see Baylor winning. I am going to stick with OSU though cause I think they will win more North games.

6. BU- 28-25 win against SMU

Here I go...
North...really doesn't matter, but here it goes...

1) Colorado 8-3 (The only real contender in the North. They've got talented depth...10 starters returning on defense. But they play @Miami, the third week, and then @Texas, and finally A&M storms in. But they'll beat the rest of the slobs.)

2) Nebraska 7-4 (STILL, about three years away from perfecting that West Coast offense. Let's see by that time the Bailey QB will have graduated and probably be delivering mail...certified mail. Listen, Callahan is making an a-- out of himself. Stop with the tricks, let the athleticism take over, run the wishbone -- well get someone who can run a wishbone, first, and bring back the Blackshirt D!)

3) Iowa State 7-4 (Uh, they're alright. I mean I don't think you can get anymore 6'6 and 6'7 athletes on the darn squad. Problem they'll have is the schedule...top ranked Iowa and they play @ Nebraska and @ A&M.

4) Missouri 6-5 (They're funny because they always...ALWAYS lose the goofy games. This year is their best opportunity...just 1 top ranked team...Texas. They may shock them, but I doubt it. Seriously doubt it!!)

5) Kansas 6-5 (I think Kansas and Kansas State got together and made a bet with each other to see who would lose the most games and get beat by the most points. I rank Kansas ahead of Kansas State only because they have one less "Won't win/can't win" games than State, playing @Texas Tech, @Texas, @Colorado and oh, they play a little team that's played in 3 National Championships in the last 5 years...I think you know who!)

6) Kansas State 4-7 (Overall no depth what so ever. And they play @Oklahoma, @Texas Tech, @Nebraska, @Iowa State and finally get a "BREAK" when Texas A&M comes to town. LOL Goodluck kids...your coaches should be ashamed!!)

SOUTH...it's not even funny...

1) or 2) Oklahoma Sooners 10-1 (I've personally visited the Sooners, during the spring and during the summer. They're defense looks phenomenal. I'm a huge fan of Rhett Bomar, personally, this kid's 6'4 215, runs a 4.4 40 yard-dash and has a cannon for an arm. Stoops looks to go with veteran-smart QB Paul Thompson, and this team is "still" loaded, anyways. A loss to TCU, the Utah darkhorse of this year, doesn't mean much. Any team who has to rebuild will start off like this. OU ranks high because, overall, they have better athletes than most. Experience is key.)

2) or 1) Texas 10-1 (Love to see Vincent take off and run, but that's about it. I think we can all agree he's not a "passer". And something else, last year they had LB Johnson, Benson, Scaiffe and Young...and they still didn't beat Oklahoma. I've had a long history with the Longhorns and can personally say it's true what everyone says...they play soft in the Big 12. Last year, against OU and Michigan, was the first time, in along time, I've seen the Longorns hit someone in the mouth. And poor tackling/broken plays saved the Rose Bowl game from going the other way.)

3) Texas A&M 9-2 (Lost to a decent Clemson team. So what?! McNeal was, by far, the better QB when he and Young were QB's playing in High School. A&M is loaded, but they just don't have enough fire power to take over the Big 12. They may shock either the Sooners or Longhorns, but definitely not both. But they'll be undefeated throughout the season and everyone will build the hype of the Longhorn and Sooners games. Then "BAM", two loses!! I do miss the SWC days!!! They, easily, ruled then!)

4) Texas Tech 8-3 (Will come out and pass for 8 "Gazillion Yards" like normal and, ultimately, win the big games and lose the "no brainers"...or vice versa, with the exception of the Big 2...Longhorns/Sooners...but they'll shock A&M. Tech's always given A&m trouble...always. But will lose to someone like OSU or Baylor.)

5) Oklahoma State 6-5 (Transitional period. Some good, young players, but not enough to make a dent. But playing in this conference makes them better, unlike Baylor, of whom I think secretly stopped playing football for about 10 years, until A&M slipped up and gave them one last year. What was that about last year, by the way...it was like Prairie View beating Southlake Carroll...uh, ya right!!)

6) Baylor 2-9 (Baylor...uh, well that's it. Poor guys ought to concentrate on the track program. That will be the only way they'll shine!! I'm ready for them to do what they should of done long ago...throw UNT into the Big 12 mix and kick Baylor's wreckage into the sea. They beat SMU, though...but honestly who cares??)
