Abilene High didnt even try in this game. Their defense struggled at times against the option, but they are young and they will learn to play with more disciplin. Taylor Potts didnt put up huge numbers but he didnt have to. RB Casey Bell had a huge game. Wouldnt surprise me if he rushed for 200+ with at least 3 TDs. Abilene High should be very dangerous this year.

Abilene Eagles offensive line looked good, opened some big holes for there running backs. Taylor Potts 13 of 16 164yds will improve with each game, and he rushed for 33yds. Defense looked good, they will get better with each game, they intercepted three passes and recovered a fumble!. Casey Bell 105yds 22 carries, Xavier Beaver 58 yds 10 carries two very good running backs. Receivers Lyle Leong 6 for 68 yds, Kortney McDow 1 for 26, Luke Kittley 3 for 19, Ben Gibbs 1 for 17, Jason Boone 2 for 14 Great Job! guys.

Lubbock Monterey is a better team than you think! qb got better as the game went on has a lot of speed very quick they will be in the playoffs.

Size doesnt matter much for them. They have always been one of the best coached units around going back to those lines that blocked for Sneezy and Kevin Goodman.
