National High School power rankings are about as accurate as the BCS...and we all know the BCS computers just pull numbers from a hat.

I agree. There is no justification in the fact that they are not ranked.

The poll is wrong. The top teams and the hottest women are in Texas.

Georgia sure is given us a run for our money in that department, they deffinitely take the cake when it comes to hospitality and southern charm. :D

I don't know which poll ET is nationally ranked in but at booster club it was said that our coaches really don't like to be nationally ranked because keeping the team focused and humble is more important to them.
As everyone says the rankings are not worth much because there is no way they are comparing apples to apples since we have no way to know what the competition is in the other states. Just because you have a long winning streak it should not be the defining reason to rank someone high.

The hottest looking women per capita has got to be in Utah. There's nothing but blonde hair and blue eyes as far as you can see.

as i have stated on numerous occasions, national hs polls are like beauty pageants where many of the judges are basing their decisions on a verbal description of the contestants, and their objective measurements. a few have seen still photos or short, poorly done videos. none have seen all the contestants in person, much less talked to and have really gotten to know them.

from SI..
Senior quarterback Jeremy Claybon threw for a school-record 403 yards to lead an offensive attack that gained an incredible 602 total yards. Senior running back Ja'Corey Turner ran for two scores and had three receptions for 109 yards and a touchdown, while senior wide receiver Dez Bryant had eight receptions for 176 yards and two scores. The Panthers will play at The Woodlands on Oct. 26 in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN2.
Beautiful, baby, yeah. Conroe Oak Ridge's D? ummm, not pretty.

Actually, I agree. I am still not sure why anyone in Texas cares what some writer in New Hampshire thinks about one of our teams. But the Haka boys are ranked in the national polls, as is Katy.

The truth is you are right....I simply stated that our coaches don't really like it because of what you said ...it doesn't matter. But when you are dealing with 16-18 year olds who might be impressed easily, I can see the coaches are concerned about focus and hard work and keeping them grounded.
I never look at national rankings unless someone post them on here. The only one I have seen lately is SI and Et is not on that one.
