Does anyone know why Fresno St. wears that green "V" on the back of thier helmets? I have always wondered this becasue it is kind of hideous.

the V stands for valley. Fresno State is in a Valley* so they wear a V on the back of their helmets to show that they are representing the valley

The "V" is for valley, but I don't think it's the silicon valley. It's green because it represents the fertile farmland throughout the valley area that Fresno sits in. It is intended to indear the university to its surrounding communities.

I was getting ready to say the Silicon Valley is anything but green.

I don't know about The Woodlands Mall. Valleys stand for death, despair, and lack. There is no lack of silicone at The Woodlands Mall and subsequently there is much rejoicing versus despair. I will give you that there may be more death though!:p
