There is no excuse for Thomas touching the ball as few times as he did. I would wear that kid out if I was his Offensive Coordinator. Sometimes I think Streety falls in love with his playbook and gets away from the things that could work consistantly. But, this is also the same complaint I have about the current Judson regime......
And they are cut from the same cloth, arent they.

You all make it seem like Madison beat themselves. Like the only reason Madison lost was cause of Streety. No way ! Judson took it to them boys tonight. They beat Madison fair and square!

Judson definately outplayed Madison tonight no question. After that game in '03 vs. Judson, I will pile on Streety every chance I get.

Sorry if you feel that way...Judson out played Mad all the way...but...when it comes down to the final score...Streety did more...imo...
Yes it was fair and square...

Great job by both teams. This loss for Madison makes the Madison vs Churchill a very crucial game for both. But all they have to do is give the ball to D Thomas and he will shred Churchills defense.

Great game and again madison defense could not stop the run inside and outside sweeps. Rockets did a great job on the defense, too bad Devin did'nt get the ball a much as the last games. (DEccoy). Mav Defense has a lot of work to do. Still proud of the mavs, this was close throughout the game. Will be a wild race for last three playoff spots. Madison, judson, churchill,Mac

I must say it was a great ballgame!

The race isn't as wild as you say. Judson is 3-1 against the 4 main competitors for playoff spots 2-4 and they're pretty much a shoo-in to make it as long as they don't get stupid. They'll go 6-2 with a loss to SV as long as they beat Wagner, Lee, and Reagan. Judson is playing for a district title at home in 3 weeks.

You've got to be kidding.:D Mad_fan will tell you that you stand a better chance to beat Judson during the regular season than the playoffs. It will be just like last year. You lose by X number of points to SV and then add more when you replay them in the playoffs. That will happen with Judson this year. The Rockets improve more during the playoffs than the Mavs do.

forget you, these mavericks get better as the season progresses and just cause we have one off game doesn't mean that we wont come back into the playoffs and run up the score on yall
just wait

Please don't get me wrong on this. I'll be rooting for you guys in the playoffs and I want you to win excect for when playing Judson, but this is what I've seen.
1. I've never seen Madison playing better as a whole in the playoffs than the regular season. They did it for 1 game against Clemens last year, but James Henry's injury played into it.
2. If given a chance, I'm sure you'll run the score up!:D
3. I don't think you'll score enough on Judson to run it up this year.
4. I really doubt Madison is better in the playoffs than they are now or at the least, they won't improve more than Judson.

It's called "Johnathan Craig Syndrome". It's Madison's greatest weakness.

If beating O'Connor 14-0 in Week 1 and then beating Reagan 48-43 in Week 5 is improvement, then forgive me for not joining the Madison state title bandwagon.

Madison still has Churchill & Mac to go yet. I would worry about those upcoming games, because they are a must for Madison to win to make playoffs. At least win one of them to be in the running for the playoffs.

I have to agree with the others. I have never seen Madsion get that much better in the playoffs. In fact, Madison has had a history of playing worse as they get closer to the playoffs lately. Just look at 2004, when they were playing well, but near the end of district their "unstoppable" offense came up lame against SV, and Madison limped into the playoffs as the #3 team. Then last year, the close game at SV, followed by the absolute *ss whoopin in the playoffs at Comalander.
If you follow lonny's theory it is madisons turn to win.

I guess you're just an idiot, dwistheman.
Streety has won more games than most coaches could ever dream of winning. Listen, genius, did it ever occur to you that (1) Madison didn't run that many plays on offense to begin with, and (2) Judson was stuffing Thomas. You know, I don't know much, but I know these coaches don't just randomly draw plays out of a hat. There's such a thing as a game plan, and coaches call plays that correspond to what the opposing defense is taking away and giving them. I suppose on that 17-yard pass play that Madison completed down the sideline -- I suppose they should've given it to Thomas that time. And what about the long run the QB made towards the end -- I suppose that was a bad call too. Give me a break.

Two big games ahead of us Churchill and Mac. two good QB's and RB's that our defense will have to deal with. If our O can score as many points as we did against reagan and our defense can hold these guys to at least 21 points. we'll see ya in the palyoffs. Div 1 which means if things go as well as last year for us and the rockets guess what!! see ya in the regionals. and Madison will play great football, no let down like everybody is saying when madison gets in the playoff. 05 playoff victims (clemons, clark, some valley team) and then our big ouch by SV. To me that's success in the playoffs. and the year before we got to the second round with a hurt tony green and no chris catfilsh in both games. if the rockets get past westlake (madison's other monkey) and Oconnor, then we'll see about playoff success this year. if things play out right for both ours teams ring the bell for round two. yeah i'm pretty much sick of people hating on coach streety. you have to respect what he has done in his career and i think its just rude for these people to blame everything on him. and im not just talking about on this board. there are people all over school that talk bad about him because they are too scared to blame the players for screwing up. i dont know, i really dont feel like getting into a heated argument this week, i just wanted to remind everyone that streety doesnt go out and play every position during the game and he doesnt make the mistakes on the field. sure, some may not agree with coaching choices at times, but there are also offensive and defensive coordinators who help out with those. so lay off the guy, okay? think twice before you go off saying that he is awful and needs to retire because it just isnt true.

I think that by us beating ya'll, and if we finish out the season with a better record, ya'll will go to that part of the bracket and face Westlake and OConner.
