NG was on the losing side of the scoreboard partly because of they're mistakes and partly because of bad breaks.
Despite that, I saw a group of players with a lot of class. Though the NG is short on numbers they are not short on courage and tenacity.
NG Raiders, good luck the rest of the season.

There are plenty of teams with that but having that wont get them into playoffs

I agree with your assesment (original poster). I saw the same when we played North Garland in week 0.

You are correct about the playoffs. We all like the playoffs. But if that is all, then we are a sorry lot.
Sports is about celebrating champions and championship. Not all champions win championships. There are bigger battles in life than the D1 or D2 final game.
North Garland fights alot of battles that SLC and Lufkin do not have to fight.
They are to be commended.

Amen.
Forget playoffs.
We're talking building quality human beings ... too many of whom are missing significant chunks of foundation. Sue has always thought lots of the NGarland program. They always play hard ... always have. Even when they had 30-some-odd kids on the roster, with quite a few single-platooners.

And now the other side of the coin...
After a hard fought, come from behind, double OT win over Lakeview, about 15 Sachse Mustang players sprinted across the field to the LC side and tore the spirit signs down, then stood at the edge of the field and glared at Lakeview cheerleaders and remaining fans. The LC cheerleaders stood there dumbfounded (they were in the process of taking down their signs).
Nice demonstration of class, Sachse. Funny, I don't recall seeing anyone run across the field after losing to Naaman two weeks ago, 35-0. What a horrible display of sportsmanship.
And yes, if Garland ever did anything like this, I'd be on here ripping them, too...

Maybe true, but it does aid in the situation. sgfantoo is proud of his/her team. Seems concerned with more important things than making the playoffs. That is great. It would be nice if everyone thought this way.

Assuming this happened as you say, (and as much as it hurts me to say) I have to agree with you and am ashamed at such a lack of class. I hope this will be "addressed" by the coaching staff!

How sad. What a contrast. NG had plenty to complain about but I never saw a word.
