I am glad to see John Tyler win and wasn't surprise. I shouldn't have voted Mesquite and knew they lost their rusher and thought it wouldn't be much of a problem with them but it looks like it did. JT is back and probably be predicted at 3rd or 4th now. Mesquite might not go playoffs and we don't know yet, just wait and see. Very Interesting District!

ya know i went to lee and graduated from lee..but i can honestly say it was pretty upsetting to me when Jt wasnt winning any games...i am glad to see them back and competitive again and look 4ward to the good ole LEE JT game this yr!

:) This team is ALOT better than they were 2 weeks ago. I really think they're hungry for revenge. Depending on what happens 2morrow night this win over a good Mesquite team...b4 the new qb starts to get his feet under him..JT just may be in the drivers seat for district or co-district championship. It looks like the defense has finally arrived. Minus the mental break downs and beating themselves...this team could be very good.

Congrats JT! That was a solid win over a good Mesquite team. I think they will improve over the course of the season with their new QB, but it will probably take some time to get it going. Who knows what's going to happen from here? It should be interesting. They have us next week, but at least they have an extra day to prepare.

whoa....slow down a little. I was never impressed with Mesquite and last night showed why. No disrespect intended but the names Page and Buerck are the only names I ever heard and one is gone for the season. You can't expect a 5'10'' 150 lb. soph to step in this district and get wins for you. As they showed last night they dont have much of a run game and sounds like they cant stop the run.

The next five weeks are going to be war. Personally I see Lee coming out on top but think that Longiview and Jt could challenge.

Sounds alot like hate to me. This is a feel good victory for a team that really struggled early on. Why pollute the thread with negativity and not let us enjoy it? If you all go 1-0 tonite we won't down grade and piss on your victory by sayin NM sucked. We've always said this team had the opportunity to be really good if they stopped beating themselves. Guess what, they stopped beating themselves, beat Mesquite High, AND the referees. Contrary to your belief, we are the only 1-0 team and district as it stands right now :) .

LV has its own worries in Mesquite tonite and NM is not gonna lay down for you. If you all and Lee win, as you pretty much predicted, you'll both be 1-0 in district. It's a very good chance we go to 2-0 next week vs. Horn. I really don't think LV will be able to say that after facing NM and Lee. Don't kid yourself, its a good chance you all are 0-2 after next week and we both know it. Mesquite will only get better and they'll beat more teams in district than Horn. We played them at an opportune time and took advantage i.e ..putting us in the driver's seat. If you don't believe me, lose to NM tonite and see how it plays out. By the way, I thought Mesquite did a nice job containing K. Hunter tonite. Only 8 yds rushing at the half. He still got 100+ yds and had a few big runs called back but they really limited him up until the 2nd half. This victory was more about the QB, special teams play and the "d" coming up huge. This was not the K. Hunter show, by any means. You all missed it last year but hopefully he'll be ready to make up for lost time agaisnt the Lobos. Yards and stats don't always tell the tale. The kid is "The Truth" as you will see. This team is hungry.

Good Luck the rest of the way Skeeters. I was impressed with the young QB's poise when he had time to throw. He was obviously and understandably nervous. Also, I think he's a gamer, he got back up everytime.

Non-district doesn't determine playoff fate. Right now, you're at worst you're tied for the district championship!!

I expected things to pick up once the Hunter was unleashed!!

not trying to be negative just realistic....we should beat NM but as you can see I picked Lee to win district so I dont think we will beat them. I am glad you beat Mesquite as I pull for all East Texas teams.......just saying dont claim the title just yet as anyone in this district can beat anyone else.....

I think they have the most talent from top to bottom.....if they can get rid of the mistakes then I think they take it......

I just figured you were pulling our leg...I'm a Lee fan and I can't even say that at this point...it may come down to which team can stay healthy...

i really think that.......great Oline, great receivers, great secondary, great dline......your QB seems to be underachieveing a bit but I still think he is good.....

oh and great RBs......

yea same here. i went to lee to and played for lee. im all the way tyler dog. i rep the big red & the cujo. hope chapell hill do somin this year. its always lee and jt dont hear from chapell hill hardly. i hope the lee\jt game get moved back to saturdays since it is competitive again. more exiting on saturday. classic day!
