Judson seems to be moving the ball a little more consistantly then the Mavs right now but have not been able to convert field position into more points.

He is good, but Judson is doing good so far. Its going to be hard to keep him low later in the game. He does not seem to slow down much. Unless Madison can complete a pass from time to time, it might get ugly for Madison & Thomas.

Caught a little bit of that Lufkin/Longview game, Lufkin is a very good team with a lot of speed, with a good passing game. They will go deep in the playoffs. Hope my Rockets have a good run too! Go Rockets!

If it was Bobby, he does all of the Judson games. Tony does most of the better Judson games. They're supposed to be the neutral SA announcers, but you're really getting Judson announcers.

Streety is just bad man. madison has a QB that really can not run in the trenches. When he gets outside he does good in the open field. But tell me this when you have a kid that broke the city rushing record last game what should you do? proly give the ball to him more often huh. IDK what was going through streetys mind but it was not give the ball to thomas. The judosn defense was as good as expected but running the draw on them could hurt them. and if they play a team that can pass and catch then they are in for some trouble the DB's have been having trouble since game 1 I think. All of madisons passes were just plain bad throws thats why they were incomplete. In all reality the defense lost the game for madison there is no excuses for a FB to be running in the A gap and getting 15-20 yards a pop all game long

With that said, i could`nt believe that Thomas only touched the ball once on their first 6 play drive.And running their small,but quick QB into the trenches was like giving plays to Judson. And he was really unacurate passing the ball.Judson took the MO and never gave it up tonight, nice victory Rockets.;)

Take away Thomas' 50+ yard run and he carries the ball 14 times for only 73 yards. Rockets did a great job of keeping him bottled up. On his one drive he hurdled a rocket defender and Judson LB misread the play. I agree with an earlier post, give the kid the ball more, especially in a crucial game. Judson 0-line had its best game of the season. it just needs to keep improving. Bouldin had a heck of a game, competition for the QB spot seems to bring out the best in him. Mendoza, outstanding game especially in crunch time situations. Carter keeps improving at LB. Madison scary because as usual they can score in a hurry. Rockets did a great job of wasting clock time in the final series. Good luck Mavs remainder of the season. WTG, Rockets!!

Great game by both teams. I have to give it up to the coaches as well as the players for JROC tonite. It looks like they finally found a little something to work with on offense. I still believe the Offense can be much more dangerous, but thats Judson ball, they will get better as the season goes on. D Thomas is a very good back and he will tear up the rest of 265A this year and dismantle teams next year. Good win for JROC. Now we'll see what happens in the 265A from here on out, it will be crazy the next few weeks to see what happens. Got to love the 265A

Good game by the Rockets. It was good to see they are getting some enthusiasm back into their routine. Last years team didn't seem to have that. Good defense. #38 is best we have faced this year. They need to stay with Bouldin. We need to give the ball to DT. Streety needs to work the passing game. We know we can run. Juson/SV will be a good game.

Where are all of your fans? This used to be a big rivalry and the stadiums would get packed. I know our side wasn't completely full, but looking over to the Judson side was sad.

tru dat! when i got my seat i was suprised to see alot of bleachers still empty by kickoff, the fans not showing up was my only disappointment.

The games would be a lot more fun if the Band and Cheerleaders coordinated more things together the way they did at Judson in the late 70's, 1980's and very ealry 90's, and also did more cheers that are what I'll call "user friendly" for the crowd to join in on. Maybe more people would start coming if they felt they could get more into the game with their voices and as a cohesive unit. The Rocket side of the stadium made a lot of noise last night, but quite a bit of it was a cacaphony of individual efforts. Think if what it would sound like if we were all speaking with one voice at once.

I started contributing my own yells last year aound this time because I was getting tired of the passivity that much of the crowd had been lulled into. I pretty much wrecked my voice by the end of the game each time last year, but I guess with practice (strengthened voice box muscles), this season I'm in a good 24-hour turn-around mode, and good to go for tonight's Wagner game. Hang in there.

I pretty much wrecked my voice by the end of the game each time last year, but I guess with practice (strengthened voice box muscles), this season I'm in a good 24-hour turn-around mode, and good to go for tonight's Wagner game. Hang in there.

Where are all of your fans? This used to be a big rivalry and the stadiums would get packed. I know our side wasn't completely full, but looking over to the Judson side was sad.



The Judson turnout was pathetic..... Some of had to do with it being a Thursday, but there is a large contingent of the old Rocket faithful that have never accepted the new offense or Coach Rackley for that matter. That is why the attendance is down. IMHO

The reasons for lack of Judson fans at last night's game in prior posts were good points, but add to it the following: with the opening of Wagner judson is missing a lot of fans. Many people from that part of the district were big time Judson fans and attended games faithfully. Madison had more fans, but their side was not packed either--maybe they had premonitions of the outcome.

Thomas did carry the ball in almost half of Madison's possessions last night. The Mavs didn't have that many oppotunities, but made the most of them. QB was ineffective passing the ball, but did give a gutsy performance. Awful small, but lots of heart and determination.
