Need some thoughts and opinions on this one. I believe the date is set for Feb 2. The UTEP coach will lead the Texas Squad. What to do think of this matchup.

I don't think its fair. The point we make is that we have much better, deeper teams than other states. Of course, you could field an all-star team with people from across the US and destroy anyone. This kind of all-star game means nothing other than showing off new recriuits.

What would be cool is a Earl Campbell's (insert other prominent Texas football personality here if Earl wouldn't work out) Texas vs. USA Football Challenge.

From what I understand the Texas team can include any kid that played high school football in Texas or has any ties to the state.It's just not kids that play football for a college in Texas.I think that's still a big advantage for the U.S. team.

If they wanted a fair matchup, they should have Texas kids play California or Florida. I do think the Texas kids will be more motivated than the national kids, though and it will be great if they win. I just want to beat Buddy Ryan.
