When something is the subject of this much hatred..I mean let's face it..the subject of A&M seems to make it into every thread no matter how irrelevant the connection may be...You have to give it to any entity that commands that much attention (or hatred)..Attention that is usually attributed to whoever occupies the top of the pedestal.

OMG based on your theory, although I understand your position, that would make SLC "the football team" since it too has a way of showing up on most threads. :D jkg

True enough Miss Kitty. I guess the main difference is most SLC related posts are from SLC fans making sure everybody knows how good their team is. Most Aggie related posts are from non fans who cannot stand them. Just my observation.

Correct you are. I stand corrected. Your observation is very keen. Personally, I don't like spending allot of time and energy talking about things I don't like. Well most of the time anyway.

um...i thought he was saying that TAMU has the envy of everybody elses um...lower regions...so that means he was insulting you and you kinda just made it worse...but i could be wrong.

I think it was over your head...
He said we have ***** envy, as in "envy of another's lower region" and I was implying that they don't have them at UT. It's complicated, I know.

Where it starts is easy to explain. Country people are said to be dumb (I don't agree) and city people always think they're smarter. The Ag colleges in each state get the wrath of the other schools. North Carolina State hears jokes about being dumb from UNC.

That right there is going to be the impetus for jokes from Longhorns.

The things Aggies do just adds more fuel for the fire. The fact that Aggie fans gets so mad is even more fuel. Oh, yeah, they keep losing to Texas Tech and Texas and are the only Texas team in the Big 12 to lose to Baylor since 1997. I wonder who lost to Baylor that year?:p

well Tech and Baylor also have something in common, they are the only teams from Texas who have never won a big 12 championship.

That's true, but there is one big difference. Tech is the only Big 12 team to be bowl-eligible every year the league has been together. Baylor not so much.

You're kidding, right? They are a source of amusement........a deviation from the norm, if you will.

It's like country people hearing the town fire siren and getting in their cars to follow the fire truck to the fire and then everybody just standing around watching farmer Johnson's barn burn down.

Pure, simple, entertainment. Nothing more....nothing less. Heck, we don't dislike aggy, we depend on them for comic relief.

Louisiana-Lafayette put a curse on Tech. Tech beat the Cajuns both times before losing to North Texas. When in doubt, blame Louisiana!:D
