Some interesting things were said of Colt yesterday and it appears as though the Boy Scout has won people over.
On the first possession of the third quarter, he winked at Limas Sweed to let him know he was changing the play at the line, because Sweed had single coverage. Then, he hit Sweed with a game-changing, 33-yard fade for a touchdown that put Texas up, 14-10.
McCoy took a big hit right as he threw a touchdown pass to Jordan Shipley for a 21-10 lead later in the third. And in the first half, he walked up and down the sideline, telling teammates to keep their heads up, as the offense went three-and-out on five of its first six possessions.
"Colt did an excellent job," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said. "He did a nice job on the fade and in taking a hit while throwing the other touchdown on the wheel route. Overall, he managed the game in a really big way, which is important in a game like this."

After the touchdown, Davis got on the headsets with his young QB. He wanted to know if McCoy was guessing when he checked to a different play, and he wasn't going to give him any clues.
Davis: "Tell me what you saw on that play."
McCoy: "I saw a six-one blitz and they were in man-to-man, so I changed it."
In that brief exchange, Davis became a believer.
"I felt like I was talking to one of the coaches," he said.
