IMO, Texas scored 21 pts. The phantom lateral is extremely questionable.
Decent game.
Neither team looked very impressive.
IMO, if the game is played 10 times, UT wins 6 times.
The series, since 2000, is 4-2. (OU)
I said OU would win. They didn't.

Thats why i have grown to accept you thegreatone. If UT would have lost i would have come on and done the same thing. However.....
If UT's d played the way they did in the 2nd half for 10 games UT would win every single game, case closed. ;)

Neither OU and UT will play for a NC. Lets see, Robert's 4-2 against UT, since 2000 and has played in 3 NC's.
We'll take another bowl! You guys better hope OSU doesn't lose, and you end up meeting them again.:p

I would call it a solid win... defense stepped up and didnt let Adrian do much... he did break of that one run but its almost automatic for him... and the score was 28-10.... its part of the game you cant just take points away good try though... always next year...

Congrats to UT, but this is getting old.
How come every single controversial call goes against OU? The Peterson fumble, was it NOT caused by the ground? The pass interference on Finley, is a TE not allowed to block? The lateral, haha.
The replays are not helping at all, because even after that they are wrong half of the time.
If this game is considered by itself, the calls mean nothing. However, taken in context with Oregon and Texas Tech, this game's controversial calls really bother me.
I'm just sick of it.

I feel the same way. I imagine Bob Stoops is beside himself. Btw, that wasn't a lateral as the replay clearly showed. What about the pushoff on tu's TD pass? Another non call.

Yeah - c'mon - both teams were ready - and OU laid an egg in the second half - too many turnovers, bad play calling, penalties, poor passes, poor catches - that's called collective suckiness - and being totally beat-down by a better team. And, you had 40 of our boys to start with.

That's called suckiness(?) or is.....Stoops @ 4-2 over TU, since 2000, and 3 NC's appearances called suckiness?;)

Hey man -- I'm pretty unbiased - I love the kids on both sides - I can't stand Stoops, but I don't bleed orange. I just saw an OU team that got whipped at every position in the second half. You better tell Stoopie to hit the recruiting trail hard for a qb my man - he needs one next year - and beg AD to stay on too.

This game was further proof that Robert Stoops is a fraud. He has done nothing without his brother but get embarrassed and embarrass the conference. Much like Franochio without Gary Patterson, Robert Stoops without Mike is clueless roaming the sidelines choking away games and talent. It's almost pathetic. I half expect to see Bobby pulling Little Debbies out of his visor now.

He did ok with a JUCO transfer, in 2000. (Heupel) "National Championship Year", btw. And Peterson leaving is just part of the game. In 2000, 2003 or 2004 OU didn't have the best RB in the Nation and they still played for a NC, and beat TU - all 3 years.;)

And Mack has done exactly what, without VY? Hell, Mack has had more Heisman hopefuls than either Franchokey and Stoops, and yet he only won 1 title.....with VY QB'cking.;)
Since then, he's 1-1 in big games.

hmmmm if OUO wins texas sucks. if OUO looses texas sucks because the oregon call is still a factor for every game till thier next nat'l championshitp win. all refs are out to get OUO and coach brown beats stoops twice and still sucks even though he has a great coaching staff around him, and stoops....well, doesnt.
enough is enough. mobilhoma needs theyre year supply of crow. stoops wasted a great back. and, most of all

actually, ou had a very good chance to 10-3...which would mean they would win their next 7 games..
paul thompson is a good qb...he has shocked me and i think a lot of sooner nation..and with ap in the backfield, ou is still going to be a threat.

Maybe in the Big XII Championship Game. The land thieves will get to watch it on TV while they're preparing for the Nobodygivesaratsass.com Bowl.

There is a double-whammy for the land thieves that they are going to feel for a very long time. Even though the Cotton Bowl is a neutral venue, the home team still gets most of the rights they do at a home game... which means recruits. Last year, as the home team, Texas had it's recruits in the Cotton Bowl to watch the Horns slaughter the dirt burglars. This year, the recruits Robert brought in had to sit there and watch Texas dominate the second half to further extend Texas' commanding lead on the series standings while pretty much eliminating any unrealistic hopes the land thieves had of getting back to the NC game only to embarrassingly choke it away... again.
Bobby is doing the best he can to get players to come to the trailer park. He has been flying to Florida personally to desperately try and pull John Brantley (Texas commit) to Mobilhoma (only to be met with rejection). Stoops is grasping at straws now and he knows the egg his team laid out there today is only going to further worsen an already bad situation. He knows he can't bring in those "blue collar" JUCO and low-rated recruits that won him his only national title because those diamonds in the rough were discovered by brilliant coaches like Mike Leach, Mark Mangino, Mike Stoops, etc. Now you have the brain trust of Bobby Stoops and Kevin Wilson who collectively couldn't generate the brain power necessary to take a dump... which is exactly what they and their team are doing.

Coach Stoops and UO are in trouble bigtime. They've lost 2 in a row to Texas now. They dont have a QB or RB for next season. Especially a QB and dreaming that a very good one is going to come out of the JUCO's ranks is wishful thinking.
It really looks like UO needs to rally and try to finish out this season strong and get a very good Bowl game because the next couple of seasons look very very tough.

Since you guys are going to mention it, I'm going to talk about it. The dude punked out. I've made three bets like that including one for never posting again. Not once did I ever have to have an admin witness because the fact it was in print is proof enough what you said. When you make that bet people know and they'll say something when you come back.
He let things get too personal in PM's. This is a football board and arguments here should be about the games and facts. Too often the less knowledgable person resorts to childish attacks because they can't argue about the points of the game.

I don't want to let this weekend pass without giving credit where it is due.
Juaquin Iglesias and Manuel Johnson (What are they putting in the water in Gilmer?) stepped up and had huge games. Malcolm Kelly (who I have been saying for a while and still contend is the best young WR in the Big XII) was grossly underutilized. Kelly is the second best offensive weapon the land thieves have and for him to have only 2 catches on 27 pass attempts is criminal. I don't know if he was slowed by an injury or what, but I just don't remember the ball being thrown his way much. Without Iglesias and Johnson, there would have been no passing game and they would have been crushed by an even larger margin.
It was also good to see Larry Birdine out there after missing pretty much all of last year with an injury. Rivalry aside, I hope the NCAA gives him a medical redshirt for last year and gives him a 6th year because he has a lot of potential. Could wind up being another DE/LB tweener in the NFL like Dan Cody.
Stat of the game... the announcers would shut up about Peterson and how he plays better in the second half of games (which is true). Something like 60% of his yards and 62% of his scores come in the second half.
Peterson's 1st half: 12 carries for 71 yards and 1 TD
Peterson's 2nd half: 13 carries for 38 yards and 0 TDs
The Texas defense made Peterson a non-factor in the second half and as a result, the entire Mobilhoma offense was a non-factor.
Big props to the Texas O-line. Colt has had time all year to sit back and do what he wants. When a 3rd and 1 QB sneak goes for 6 yards and all you see is a white mass of humanity steadily moving across the field like fog on a lake... that's total domination. And that is all with Dock fighting an injury, Blalock moving to RG and Ulatoski playing a lot a RT.
