Don't worry about it. The Yankees turned out to be a major embarassment in the playoffs this year - damn it. But the good news is we know they will be back and hopefully with some decent relief pitching and some more hitters that actually hit in the clutch. As Yankee fans, we can take some comfort in the notion that the red sox, that team from the state which gives us Barney Franks, John Kerry, Michael Dukakis, Ted Kennedy, gay marriage, etc. can win the World Series for the next 15 years straight (pun intended) and still not catch up to the Yankees' standard for World Series wins and not even close on American League titles. Of course, the Sox will have to find their way out of third place in the division first. :D
