Ladies and Gentlemen,

The Texas Rangers took the big step to day to guarantee they'll win the 2007 World Series. They fired Buck Showalter!:D

The Yankees fired Buck in 1995. The Yankees won the World Series in 1996

The Diamondbacks fired Buck in 2000. The Diamondbacks won the World Series in 2001.

Arlington, get ready for a parade!:D

I doubt it. They have no pitching whatsoever and until they get some improved pitchers they won't make the playoffs.

SP: Millwood, Padilla, FA signing, Tejada, Volquez/Danks - Trade Blalock for another pitcer if needed.

Bullpen: Aki, Wilson, Rheinecker, Littleton, Benoist, Bauer, Feldman, Mahay if needed, ect.

With Carlos Lee out of the lineup, the offense takes a big hit. But Cruz will be a big time MLB player next year, and hopefully we can pick up another bat on the FA market.

I think there is no doubt- TEXAS RANGERS, 2007 WORLD CHAMPS!

Now for the question at hand.

Who replaces Showalter?

Rudy Jaramillo
Don Wakamatsu
Joe Girardi
Dusty Baker
Lou Pinella
Orel Hershiser

Anyone else you think the Rangers might consider?

Texas Rangers has always suck every single year and going into world series the next year in a deep is very unheard of. I hope they do like Astros might this season.

Oh, your talking about Dusty. The Cubs just fired him didn't they. He's considered a players manager, but I don't know if the Rangers are interested.

Yeah, but the Cubs will probably outbid the Rangers for him...plus he played for the Cubs for a total of seven seasons.

Wakamatsu is the only person on that list that has a chance I think. All the others seem more like Buck, and that is deffinetly not what JD and Hicks are looking for. According to DMN, several players agents told Hicks in the recent weeks that they will not resign unless Buck is/was gone. I think that is a clear indication that a "players coach" is wanted in the clubhouse. Somebody young maybe, or without alot of coaching experience.

Hey mate, been pretty good. Just hanging out down under. Trying to catch the playoff games down here is tough, but I am working hard. Just went up to Port Douglas/Cairns and checked out the great barrier reef, rain forrest, ect. Can't wait to get back to my old hood though. Missing the SLake

he's called that cause he favors the veterans over the youngsters..so he plays all the old suck bums when their done, past their prime instead of the up and coming...like neffi perez..

Well, Tory Hunter is a free agent after the postseason and he thru a hint saying that he would like to play somewhere in the metroplex.

That would be sweet... but where in the hell is the pitching!! The Rangers could be a damn good ball club but without pitching we are just mediocre

Yeah but so has Vernon Wells. He has said multiple times that he and mike young WILL play together on the same team at some point in there careers. And I would guess that they will sign GMJ this offseason. What do you do with 3 CF?
