An anthrax scare for the University of Oklahoma Sooners delayed football practice nearly two hours today after a player reported finding a white powdery substance on the practice field. Head coach Bob Stoops immediately suspended practice while the police and federal investigators were called in to investigate. After a complete analysis, FBI forensic experts determined that the white substance unknown to the players was the goal line. Practice was resumed after special agents decided the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

Don't the Texas stands normally empty in the 3rd quarter?

Anyway, got a little joke, you might've heard it before.

An OU fan and a Texass fan are both in the bathroom at the Cotton Bowl. The OU fan makes to leave without washing his hands. The Texass fan says to him "I don't know what they teach you in Oklahoma, but in Texas, they teach us to wash our hands." The Oklahoma fan responds, "In Oklahoma, they teach us not to piss on our hands."

:D All in good spirits though, I'll be here as a shoulder to lean on when Texas (blowout style) this weekend.

I can take all the smack. I love it man. In fact I had a PM conversation with TheGreatOne yesterday...and we both agreed that the hate and smack is almost as good as the game itself.

One question...
I ask Sooner fans this all the time (well the ones that live in Texas)
Why would you defame the name of the very state that you call home?
Call us sips or whorns or whatever...why misspell the name of your own state? Texass??? That ain't cool...

I ask the same question about why people leave the state for sports and why the good people of this state can't find it in their hearts to root for a Texas team. That's almost as bad.

Well, I lived in Oklahoma City most of my life, grew up an OU fan, and just moved here about 2 years ago. So I am obviously not going to just all of a sudden become a Texas fan.

Yes, the state is mostly great for the most part, just that one little (actually huge) university, at least in a fan's sense.

But I do like Tech, especially in basketball.

That's cool. I was talking about the people who've always lived here. I know there are some legit exceptions to the rule among native Texans, too.
