Who should take over?

I say promote defensive coordinator Randy Shannon. He should have been the one to take over for Butch Davis in the first place.

I wonder how long it will take for one of the SLC'ers to offer up Todd Dodge's name?;)

The object is to make the team better...not totally turn them into a mixture of a tire fire and a train wreck.

1) Shaq (He's won enough in the NBA. Plus, he could help the QB's with their passing "touch". What? The guy's got class, too.)
2) Morris Chesnut (He's the worst "football actor" on the planet. Seems to me he just wants to really be apart of the game.)
3) Chris Rock (He'd bring some humor to the program. Ok, he'll bring MORE humor to the program.)
4) Jimmy Johnson (He's tired of TB and Howie insulting his hair. Matter of fact, he's tired of everyone insulting his hair.)
5) 50 Cent (He knows how to deal with ex-cons and recovering gunshot victims.)

Hey--- you may be onto something. Jimmy Johnson returning the team to the glory that was Michael Irvin - yes!

Not that I want him to leave but... Gene Chizik... with all the athletes Miami can get... they could create a monster down there...

Norm Chow
Mike Belloti
Rick Rodriguez

If the "U" could throw enough money these guys way, I could see them considering it. Heck, Belloti might leave Oregon if they promised him he'd never have to outfit Miami in anything dreamed up by the Nike uni design staff;)

I don't think that Dickey is ready for a job like Miami, but he had done a great job with the talent he is left with up at UNT. Perhaps the Aggies ought to take a long, hard look at him????

I should have added a smiley, i was joking about dickey he sucks. My best friend came up to denton and tailgated with us before the SMU game and he brought a sign saying Fran for Dick. He is received his undergrad and masters from aggy and he hates Fran. Needless to say that sign received a huge laugh from many.

since miami failure is never a bad thing, why not leave it alone.

It still puzzles me how Miami didn't see the writing on the wall. I mean we're talking about a guy - in Larry Coker - who, when he was assistant coaching at Okie-State, felt that the one and only Barry Sanders wasn't a good HS prospect. I believe his words were, "This kid out of Michigan (B. Sanders) is too small and slow. Not a good enough prospect, in my opinion."...

Uhhh..yeahh!;)

Mark Richt -- UM grad and former QB is probably the best choice, but it won't happen. Richt has an ENORMOUS buyout in his Georgia contract, plus he and his family (he recently move his parents and in-laws to town, and rumor has it his brother-in-law, Brad Johnson will take the QB coach job after he retires from the Vikings) love Athens, he's a god in the town, and won't be under a microsope to win like at the U. Plus he's got a near lock on the very fertile recruiting in Ga., especially South Ga. which is were most of the best recruits in the state are.

Norm Chow -- offensive genius, put USC back on the map. I don't see it happening UM wants someone with head coaching experience.

Tommy Tubberville -- the Mississippi gambler would be great and is probably still bitter about Auburn's back door dealing trying to push him out for Bobby Petrino (one of his former assistants). TT also has just the right ego to turn around this program and put it back on a national stage.

speaking of egos... Steve Spurrier -- Surely he's go to have figured out that the Warchicken experiment is NOT working out. With the Fun-N-Gun offense he'd be able to be the big dog on the street with those fast S. Fla. HS players. Plus The U plays Florida a couple of time in the next couple of years and there's nothing more satisfying than proving that they Gators should have brought him back instead of hiring Urban.

Gary Patterson -- The man behind the Fran, he's pretty much gotten everything he can out of TCU. They may not have BCS talent, but they often play like it (except for the one hiccup a year, that keeps them from the BCS). Imagine what he could do with top level recruits and a great OC. The recruiting ties to Texas wouldn't hurt him either.

We like Todd Dodge. Why would we want to wish Miami on someone we respect?
