I would like to think so, but that's only going to be true if they have a person to step right in for Kolb after this year. He's started for 4 years and played in this offense in high school.

I surely hope so....Want to see their recruiting class...Kolb is gone this year. The win over Miami would have been great, but they have another chance to gain National Attention against Louisville

is this kolbs last year?
Yep....and he's been in the same system since high school. It's a really complicated system to learn. Mostly passing, but not verticle...short passes, reads and screens.

That's why I wanted to beat Miami so bad. I saw the chance to go 13-0 going into a bowl game after the CUSA Title game. I was thinking BCS if they beat the 'canes.

Case Keenum, redshirting this year, great athlete and tough competitor.

Agreed. Although you have to like a team full of Texas kids that didn't get recruited by most of the bigger schools and are still doing big things....they would get torn to shreds by anybody in the top 10 right now.

I really hope they can bounce back from this and still hold the fort for a possible C-USA championship. Art Briles is begining to look like a genius for turning the cougs around. And hopefully they can keep things rolling once Kolb leaves, he is one of the most underrated QB's in the country.

Do ya think? Hard for them NOT to let down after a big win against Okla St and the close loss to Miami.
Start talking about BCS and the next thing you know .......

I dont think they were ever really in the mix for the BCS but they were probably looking at maybe being ranked (which is still possible if they turn it around and everyone keeps beating each other up across the NCAA). They still have a very good shot at running the c-usa table from here out and winning that championship. They should get a berth in one of the higher non-bcs bowls, that is only if they turn it around however.
Also the last thing a team wants to do is talk bcs, that seems to be the nail in the coffin for a programs year, when they start making bsc asperations vocal.

I was in Lubbock, but I think this was a letdown game for UH. They were high after beating OSU and came so close to the breakthrough win they needed vs. Miami. The only recourse was a letdown vs. a lesser opponent and it got them beat. They'll play better next week.

Probably a few things happened here:
1. Let down off the Miami game they should of won.
2. Took La-La. to lightly and it bit them.

They even blew the lead in the 2nd half, so it's not like they started completely flat. It's always a trap game when you come off of a big win or loss.

Ya, I know. I was keeping track of the score and saw Houston had a pretty nice led lead late in the game and thought they had it. Then I look again and La-La takes the lead with like 1 minute left.
Anyway, tough loss and hope they can rebound.

Thats an overstatment... They have been horrible over the last 10 years. I really thought UH was turning things around as well....But they should of dominated that game, the The ragin UL is a horrible football program....I have a feeling thier gonna slump. South Miss, Utep, and SMU are all licking thier chops now.
