My thoughts--- Tech still lags in terms of conference championships. No denying that. But guess what Ags-- this thing IS a rivalry, and since Tech started playing A&M in conference, Tech has pwn3d A&M.

Tech coach would miss Kyle Field

The Red Raiders might have played their last game at Kyle Field on Saturday. Talks are continuing about moving the series to Dallas on an annual basis a la the Texas-OU rivalry.

Count Tech coach Mike Leach as a fan of the Kyle Field atmosphere. He talked today about how captivating it is to see the stands sway. He also rambled for a while about the cartoonish verticality of the stadium.

"I'd certainly miss Kyle Field," Leach said.

So how much influence will Leach have on AD Gerald Myers when it comes time to make a decision about moving the series to Dallas?

"Same as I've always had -- zero," Leach said.

aggyfan was mighty pissed leaving the library(sshhhhhh!!!!!!!)Kyle Field on Saturday and may be inclined to never invite us back. Dallas may be the fresh start they're looking for. I think the Dallas thing can only hurt Tech because we love beating them in KF and they hate coming to Lubbock, but honestly, we could play in Borden County and it would still be a Red Raider win!

I agree about Tech holding their own. The math doesn't add up.

When I drove through Gail, I tried to place in my mind where Borden County stood as far as smallest counties in the state. I was on my way to O'Donnell (the long way) to see the Hoss Cartwright (Dan Blocker) Museum.
