As I have said,1/2 of my family is from Okra-homa, and the other is from Texas. Luckily, I was born in the Texas Half.

Hey guys...I'm still a Texan, at heart. But being an Aggie - by association - and a Sooner fan, can be quite disturbing to some Texan-folk, given my athletic past. ;)

I'm just grateful you contributed to two of the 9 losses to Tech in the last 12 years!:p

a shell?
You're kidding right? They lost Vince Young,Rod Wright,Aaron Harris, and Michael Huff. Everybody else is back....how are they a shell?
Need I remind you that OU struggled with the football juggernaut that is the University of Alabama Birmingham. Yet they will win BIG over Texas?
Not happening my man. I would bet any amount of money on it.

I like you, bro...really...but, uhhh...I hope you've got a backbone and won't back down, without a fight....because in roughly 10 to 15 mins, wide, jtk and a few million posters - on here - will read your statement and set out to end your cyberlife.
Again, I love your moxy! And yes, OU will kick the fat off Bevo's a**!;)

I think OU has a great shot at beating tu!!
OU 38, tu 28
But then again it could go 65-13 or so in favor of the Sooners. :D

And you base your info on what exactly, Hmmm?
Like others have already said, THEY HAVE ALMOST EVERYONE RETURNING... a shell... a shell. This is the same team that demolished OU last...and the vince young argument wont work on this one, cause they didnt have to come from behind to beat OU... thats just how bad they were. OU has Struggled with UO (which i will give them credit as victors..stuggled none the less)... UBA!!!!!!!!! Yes i can see it now... OU beats texas BIG!!!! Im laughing very hard right now.... OU could of had a legit shot and challanging UT for the Big 12 if they hadnt taken a huge hit with the loss of bomar... Your going to need more then peterson to beat Texas. ... We will see how much of that "shell" you think is thier after Texas takes down OU...
This game is a repeat of the Iowa state game ... I say its 35-14.
I am really going to wait for you Support to your claim that Texas is just a shell......So think long and hard.

He can't respond to the "shell" comment because it just ain't true.
My only hope is that he was kidding.
You're right the Vince Young argument doesn't fly when it comes to Texas winning last year.
The Brian Robison and Tim Crowder argument does though...and they didn't go anywhere baby.
The new phrase will be "Thompson'd" in lieu of "Bomar'd".
OU wins BIG...ha...what's next? Someone on this board saying Magic was better than Jordan?

Maybe Texas isn't a shell of last year.
But maybe OU is better than last year. Duh.
Last year AD didn't even play. OU is better at quarterback this game than last year, better RB, line, WRs, and secondary. The front 7 have shown more weakness than last year, but they really started to play well in the Middle Tennesse game.
And by the way, OU's worst opponent, Middle Tennessee, who OU beat 59-0, just beat probably your next best opponent after Ohio State, North Texas, 35-0.

The way I see it, the play of Colt McCoy will decide whether this comes down to a close, physical Texas win won by the offensive line and depth at running back, or a balenced attack leading to a blowout.
My pick: Texas 38, Oklahoma 17

Better at Quarterback? Did you know Bomar got cut? And if you think North Texas is better than Iowa State, who hung blow for blow with Iowa, then, well... No comment.

Oops, forgot about Iowa St. :o
But Thompson has been playing better so far this year than Bomar did at any time last year. So yes, OU is better at QB.
And Texas does not have more depth at RB. OU has AD, then Allen Patrick, who many people are very high on, and will star next year with AD likely gone, then behind him you have Jacob Gutierrez.
Then you have 3 freshman who all could play now, but don't need to.
Just to fill me in, Texas has Charles, Young, Melton, then who else? You take Texas' 3, I'll take OU's 3.

To each his own I suppose. But Texas also has a better Offensive Line and Front Seven than Oklahoma.

I actually enjoy talking trash more this year. Mostly because I won't be able to watch the game because of a marching contest that the band is going to. But I'll bring a portable radio and I'll be fine.

I have to miss the Homecoming Dance as well if we make the top ten. I wish I could go back in time to 8th Grade and kick my own *** to stop me from scheduling Band.
