For one year to upgrade and rennovate. All the students from Boerne, during the 2008 school year will be shipped to the brand new Champion High School for one year, then in 2009, students will go to their designated high school, Boerne HS or Champion HS.

Now, the debate going on right now is that for the first year of Champion HS, while Boerne HS is closed for construction, that the Boerne HS Mascot be placed at the new Champion HS.

However, Champion HS has already selected the Chargers as their mascot.

So either the Boerne Greyhounds go MIA for a year or Champion HS uses the Greyhounds mascot for one season.

What are your thoughts on this?

Has the new Champion High School actually been open yet? If not, I think they should keep the Boerne mascot name until both schools are open or reopened. JMO

Rules of senority should be inplace. The Chargers don't exist until they field a team. They won't do that until the original school moves back out.
